What sets the show apart so far is how they develop the characters. I adore how it was written in a way that it focuses on the little things, emotions, body body language, that leads up to the mains falling for each other. Its slow and somewhat sensual in a way, hindi punto por punto kilig kada minuto.

Honestly I didn't know about this BL series until my white Canadian friend mentioned it to me. Pati sya pinapanood 'to. I've watched the Thai BL "Until we meet again". I love that series kaya curious ako about this. So when i watched Ep.1 in fairness, it's comparable to the Thai BL's at ang cute ng characters especially Karl and ate Judit (without "H"). Ang kulit! At arousing ang character ni Vlad. Sana lang ma sustain nila ang momentum para lahat happy.

My goodness, this is 5 days old and I completely missed it hahaha! I’ve seen a few 3 other Pinoy BL and for me, this guy’s performed just as well as Tony Labrusca and JC Alcantara. I have to agree with your observation that the others have so much going right from the get-go. However, I didn’t see that on Hello Strangers and Gaya Sa Pelikula. The thing I like the best about Gaya Sa Pelikula is that the flow was more realistic. The other ones like My Day for example, I felt like they’re rushing to get what (sadly) most of the audiences are waiting to see, the romance part. So the flirting was part of even the 1st episode.

I think the phasing is just right. Compared it to other bl that left you hanging with transition, wondering what just happened because they jumped from this to that. It feels like there are missing pieces. But with Gaya sa Pelikula you get the feels. It's like a flower that started to bloom. Slowly and beautifully made.
