Sad news but well done Tom. To have made it through the first season was a massive achievement and to flourish after that has been great to see. Personally I hope after 7 years you have some pressure off and can flourish in the years ahead. Well done.

Sad news but also getting similar feelings to when Root stepped down with England, Tom was one of if not our best batsman during difficult times while dealing with the captaincy. Hopefully this will allow him to fully focus on batting and get back to his very best! Assuming Lewis Gregory will take over in all formats which is no bad thing as he's an excellent skipper also! Best of luck for the season lads!
