Christian vloggers Sam and Nia Rader chose to restore their marriage after facing infidelity. They're featured in Netflix's latest documentary series, "Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal," which follows the 2015 data breach incident of a popular dating website. "You don't have to divorce your husband just because he cheats on you. Redemption is real, and it's an option," Nia said beside her husband Sam, during an appearance on NewsNation's "Banfield." "We have a better marriage now than ever could have imagined. There's so much depth to it, and I really want other women to see that."

As a Christian woman, I don't know how to feel about this. I think the message that Christian women will stay no matter what because we "give grace" and "have faith" can leave Christian women vulnerable to potential predators who think they can do whatever they want without consequence because Christian women won't leave (ex: this lady, Anna Duggar, etc.).

I think true repentance is the key. Most of these emotional abusers and cheaters say they are sorry without a true life transformation. The church needs to stop holding women hostage to wolves. It appears this guy got it right.
@princess_maya_

@@jen3104 I hope he got it right - my only concern is that he was so deceptive for YEARS that if I was in her shoes I would have a hard time trusting myself and my discernment as to whether or not he changed - especially since he didn't come clean until after he was exposed and caught red handed! I would wonder if he would have continued being deceptive, unfaithful, ungodly, and putting my health at risk if the truth hadn't been revealed by someone else. True repentance requires a choice and action, but he didn't have a choice about his dirty secrets being revealed, which makes me wonder if he's truly sorry, or just sorry that he got caught

@@princess_maya_I agree with what you’re bringing up. Although, a thought came to mind about a woman I know who was the “cheater.” She chose to respond in anger and blame the husband “victim.” The husband here didn’t choose the timing to repent but the push he had was handled in a way that sounds honorable and sounds like he was not expecting her obedience but more like he allowed her to decide and he did not give up.

Forgiveness is not reconciliation. You can forgive and not reconcile. Jesus gives reasons to divorce. His desire is repentance, not marriage. If you choose to stay together, that's your choice. God's full redemption exists either way.

I was Nia in my first marriage. He paraded himself as a loyal Christina man. He had Ashlee Maddison, and other hookup apps. He lied constantly. And then he tried to use my faith to gaslight me and guilt me for filing. He still tries to make me the bad guy because I’m the one who filed. It’s sick. I’m sorry but it’s just horrible to use a woman’s faith to manipulate them to stay with men like this. That’s what I believe happens having been in her shoes. Someone who lies that much doesn’t stop overnight. It’s very very rare for them to ever stop.

Nia is truly brave for taking on the enormous battle of keeping her marriage together after betrayal. She really deserves SO MUCH credit, love and respect for baring the brunt of this pain- to be betrayed and stabbed in the back by the most intimate person that supposed to be one with and protect you. This kind of betrayal is just so deplorable. The news lady stuck a big jab at her when she asked her husband Sam who cheated on her, “how can you have a bond with a woman who doesn’t trust you?” 😮 Well, for one, he is the one who CHOSE to break that trust, so it is his issue regardless, and he put that on NIA. He is the one who made out best here for being forgiven and not losing everything (his wife, children, assets in a divorce). Come on! Terrible question for her to ask! I want to give Sam the belief that he truly repented, yet his words and actions make it so difficult. First of all why in the world would you sue a company for saving your information when you are the one who deceived and betrayed your very own wife? THATS why you’re really mad! You’re mad you got caught! If they saved it and handed him a check for 1 million and he didn’t get caught, he wouldn’t be mad! A truly repented and humbled man would be grateful that his wife got the truth that she truly deserved, and that this wickedness came to the light so that he could be exposed and learn his lesson! Read what the Bible says about repentance and law suits. He goes on to say “I have to bear the brunt for the 30 million other men out there that are doing this” what?! No you don’t! That is a classic s3ggs addict mentality, sadly that says “look over there because I’m uncomfortable with you looking at what I did.” I kind of get that would be hard to broadcast his horrible behavior, but it was also his decision. You want to make sure we know that “30 million other men are doing too” so that it doesn’t seem as bad because you did what 30 million men are doing. Trying to normalize it, minimize and deflect the negative attention away from one’s self is sadly a sign that the full ownership and repentance isn’t there. Needs a lot more work, but it can be done if he can reflect on this behavior and change it. And finally to top it off by telling men, s3ggs w/o intimacy is just not fulfilling?! 😢 I know he’s trying to give a positive message and that’s good but it’s so sad that he seems to miss the biggest most important factors here!! That is the very last and smallest of issues that adulterers should be worried about, and their own selfish thinking IS the problem to begin with! It’s not about why it is not fulfilling, that should be the least concern! What if it is more self pleasuring and fulfilling to the other men who do it? It often is sadly. Because they’re lost and living for themselves. The drive home point should be the damage, the selfishness and wickedness of the adultery itself! The pain and suffering the absolute chaos that you forced onto your wife, your marriage your kids, your community, family, followers all for your own sick perverted pleasure. That is the main punchline! What is more pleasing to you individually is not the center piece of this tree! 🌲 BUT sadly this is how the majority of cheaters think which is why they allow themselves to cross those boundaries in the first place. “Hmmm… 🙂‍↔️ how is this decision going to fulfill me? How do I feel about this kind of pleasure (affair) or that kind of pleasure (my wife)? Gosh I’m sorry if this hurts anyone but come on look at the reality here. This is why 97% of corn and seggs addicts never truly change because there’s no solid heart change. Jesus said there’s 4 ways to love- The most important love is the act of love through service, through actions, and the love that’s deeply embedded in your heart that you want not only no harm to come to that person “you love,” but that you would “lay down your life for” that person. Jesus said “husbands, love your wives as Jesus loves the church!” That means you lay down your life for your wife (and your children, everything that she holds dear). “Intimacy” is a word that gets thrown around just like “love”. well done you love the “feeling” of being around someone, getting the pleasure they give you? That’s not love, thats enjoyment and feelings. Love is when it’s deeply embedded in the very depths of your heart and spirit thru the Holy Spirit in you that He gave you a His own heart, new, a heart that’s not selfish. 1 Corinthians! As for a Christian leader, this man is no longer qualified to lead or teach anyone. This is the problem with the church that there’s millions of illegitimate pastors and “leaders,” leading the masses right into hell because they want to play with sins, disobey Gods word then come back for round two and spout off to the sheep about love that’s not true. They’re not teaching the sheep what true love, obedience and righteousness are. The sheep are confused, the vulnerable are abused so they turn away from the church and many turn away from God because of this! Read what the Bible says about a pastors qualifications! Take a seat. Evangelize spread the gospel, but don’t ever presume to tell others how they should lead their families spiritual life. I hope that he is working on himself and I believe he is, but sadly he doesn’t seem there yet.

Regardless of what people feel or say, Nia is giving other women who wish to move forward in their marriage with a (repentant) husband, Hope. That God can use all things for His Glory . I pray and hope that Sam Stays in repentance, time will tell. Not alot of women could do and go through what Nia has and is stll going through. Especially with abuse and infidelity and a husband who is not in repentance hasnt changed their ways or feel empathy for their wife. Reconciliation isnt always the end result , nor would you encourage it for someone going through that type of situation, but as it apears that Sam has been in repentance and empathetic to Nia, we should be praying for them and not continuously tearing them down with these comments I've seen. Life them up, and if you cant lift them up with your words, at least lift them up in prayer which undoubtedly means more to them, I'm sure.. 🙏🏻🩷
