Thank you so much for this commentary. I was reading in Exodus this morning and came across the bloody bridegroom statement. I had to dive in deeper. After hearing some of your views on similarity or comparisons, I cannot help but think of times where Zion is used interchangeably with Sion. Maybe I’m lacking information, but it rings a bell with me when you say that in the Greek Siprah and Zipporah are the same. Please elaborate, if you do not mind. Thank you so much.

Zipporah was of Abrahams lineage through Keturah who’s sons also were taught circumcision along with Ishmael’s progeny. So she would potentially know about Abrahamic circumcision especially since her father is a priest. Also why wouldn’t Moses have been circumcised by his Hebrew father on the 8th day? He was of the Levitical lineage who were according to Jubilees, had received their calling during the days of Levi. Genesis says Moses’s mother kept Moses till she could no longer hide him which was way past the 8th day after he was born. I think this passage proves that Moses was circumcised in a Hebrew way. Excellent insights into the passage, thank you!

Very interesting discussion and comments on this passage. At least a couple of times she made the point that people who want to be under God‘s protection must be in covenant with him and/or follow his ways. That is what the Law of Moses teaches us that we need to keep God’s commandments. If we keep them we get the blessings; if we don’t we get the curses (see Deuteronomy 28). The Bible is full of cases of people who were protected by God. They all kept His commandments. The church unfortunately has gotten far away from the Law. They teach it is bad and done away. That is not what the Bible teaches. Please take a fresh look at the written Bible for yourself. Too many of us depend on others to tell us what it means. Why did God give us His Holy Spirit? In part, to teach us the way to walk. None of my comments are directed negatively at Dr. Imes or the interviewer. May all who have ears to hear, receive this.

This poses another question. In Exodus 18:6 Jethro comes to visit Moses and he brings Moses's wife and "her sons" why does Jethro refer to the sons as "her sons"

It seems the only perspective on KZbin is of YHWH seeking to kill Moses. But the book of Jubilees says it was Mastema (Satan) who tried to kill him and it was the Angel of the Presence who saves him. (Jubilees 48:2-4) What's crazy is, Jubilees isn't doing something so far left field that it can be easily ignored. The scripture does something similar with 2Sam 24:1 and 1Chr 21:1.

Please note that: 1. Moses was the one who God was seeking to kill. 2. Zipporah addresses the angel of God and makes the foreskin touch _his_ feet. With those points in mind, I can reveal that the bridegroom of blood account is a type/antitype prophecy that is being fulfilled *right now.* Here's how.. There are four main components in the prophecy: 1. bride (Zipporah) 2. bridegroom (the messenger of God) 3. blood (Covenant) 4. circumcision (Covenant). We know that 144,000 anointed Christians are the (1) bride of Christ who is the (2) bridegroom. Christ shed his (3) blood under the New Covenant for those ones who must be (4) baptized with water and spirit. Baptism with water under the New Covenant is the equivalent of circumcision for Jews under the Abrahamic Covenant. Please note that: *No one can enter the heavenly Kingdom of God unless they are baptized with both water and spirit.* (John 3:5) Moses had broken the Abrahamic Covenant by failing to circumcise (baptize) his son so faced the death penalty. Are you aware that there will soon be a man on the world scene who will be the two witnesses like Moses and Elijah? (Rev 11:5,6) I'm sure that you are. But just like Moses had failed to adhere to the Abrahamic Covenant and faced death, this man today is in a similar position. He is not baptized with water, only spirit. He is not "circumcised." He is currently being prepared to face the wild beast empire, as Moses faced the beastly Egyptian world empire, on behalf of God's Covenant people but he himself is not yet fully in the Covenant. How can he deliver them in this condition? Currently he has no future and may as well be dead. He must be baptized by the bride of Christ, who is represented by Zipporah. If not, there can be NO KINGDOM OF GOD. The marriage of the Lamb cannot take place until this man is baptized with water. He is a very important man. So, when Zipporah uttered these inspired words to the messenger of God (Christ): *_"You are a bridegroom of blood to me"_* (because of the circumcision) what she was saying translates to this in the antitypical fulfillment: *_"Now the bride can marry the bridegroom who shed his blood for us"_* (because of the baptism).
