Hey Every one,
sharing a full detailed video on how to do keying in detail. In this video, i will be explaining how to key HAIR detail, motion blur and small small details. Also i will be explaining multiple technique of fixing edge issue in keying.
Keying or Chroma removal is a well known and powerful technique of extracting our character from blue or green background. This keying or chroma removal technique is immensely use by all studios.

Just like alpha creation, u can also devide ur despill into two sections. One is to despill edge and other one to despill core. And u can merge edge despill and core despill using keymix. Edge despill will go in the B pipe and core despill will go in the A pipe. In the mask input, u can use core matte alpha as mask. In that way, u have more control. One more thing, when u r multiplying ur BG in order to remove white edge, u can put a grade node between merge and BG and uncheck black clamp from grade node. In doing so, u can blend edge of GS with BG by toggling blackpoint and white point according to footage.

Great tips! Thank you! Those hair details techniques are really useful, with the divide between constant/plate and multiply back into the despill, hair details gets so much better! I am used to another similar tech but yours is preserving much more. However on some wrinkly green screens it could get in the way. Also your script management is very tidy witch I can only commend! hands down a great tutorial sir!

hi, first thanks for tutorial its really good. while practice i am facing some problem, when i am using ibk color tool it hav default value in size its 1o if i go wi this value all task done but some pixels remain in cleanup & if i change this value ibk color not worke properly. will u plz give any solution on that??

without seeing footage, i cannot give solution. But you can try by adding a grade node in scan and tweaking gain and gamma. Hope this will work

I have used ibk keyer for my base key, primatte keyer for core matte and keylight for details. You can use any keyer tool to pull any work👍
