Clearly Satya has impressive product understanding. And Microsoft offering this year is light years ahead of any competitor. However even the audience could not keep up with the amount of “new” and “thrilling” presented at breakneck speed, resulting in “you can clap now”. There are some great innovations discussed here. But why limit them to business use cases? Why relegate Hololens to a glorified industrial training video when we could be playing multi-player AR Halo in the neighborhood park? Why position Copilot as a glorified secretary when it could be greeting us in the morning like Jarvis? Can you imagine integrating a Phi SLM with Azure Natural Voices for a holographic NPC in Starfield on Hololens? On the one hand we're living in the most incredible scifi future we dreamed of as kids.
