It's a great chassis the TT01. Looks like you're enjoying your build. Said it before I'm a big TT01 fan. I've got 6 of them including a fully blinged up Subaru with loads of alloy parts. Looking forward to your next video buddy... 👍

Hey, so I'm building one of these right now, and checking out some videos to see what to do on step 1, literally the first step, and I've noticed everyone else and you cuts out the part where you put part MA11 (the shaft) into the spur gear assembly, what's up with that? and why am I stuck at it lol :)
@JohnBattistini003 жыл бұрын
Not sure I am following fully, but if I missed step I apologize. Around 01:40 (ish) in the video is where I put the spur gear on the shaft, is that part you are having trouble with? Happy to help if I can!

@@JohnBattistini00 Hey, thanks, I was just missing something, not even sure entirely what just yet, but I got it popped into place after a bit, thought I lost the spacer that locks the shaft into place, turns out I didn't.. lol. loving the vid though, thanks very much for the help. (Video Idea - Showing that shaft assembly, cause no one has the actual thing clicking into place like it does, on youtube as far as I could find LOL, "TT01E stuck at step one (like Mugdock ROFL :)" ) thanks again mate!

Hi. I would be interested to know if you have any binding in the drivetrain. I built a TT01E and found the front half of the diff housing tightened all the way caused binding. It was the front shaft bevel gear. It’s too thick and when the diff housing is tightened it caused too tight of mesh between the crown bevel gear and drive shaft bevel. I have found others online that experienced the same issue. I found a fix but very strange. You can test if you have this issue by setting the car on the floor and giving her a push. It should roll smooth (you need to take out the motor). If it grinds or is hard to push, the front may be binding.

Oh wow. I honestly don’t know yet. I will have to test it out and see once the build is further along. What was the fix that you found?
@aut0bahn3 жыл бұрын
@@JohnBattistini00 For the fix, remove the differential and the GB1 (bevel pinion gear). With the face of the gear up, set it on some fine grit sandpaper and work it smoothly until you remove .05 to .075 mm of material. It sands easy. That would do it. Tightening the differential housing back to the chassis and shock tower won’t cause the gear mesh binding.

@@aut0bahn good to know. If it binds I will try that. Thanks.

I build a few of these with zero binding

Cool. Hopefully I will be good to go once I finish up the next steps.
