Love your assessment on knives. No BS. Right to the point. Great job. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Bob...I enjoyed that. The only knives I common with this installment is the 110 and the Culpepper, but I must say that now I am inspired to dabble in traditionals. Great job!

I have been working 6 days a week and I'm sorry I've missed your Livestreams but I'm still enjoying your content. Thanks again Bob. The Uncle Henry knives are made by Shrade.

Very nice collection, Bob (was my Grandfather's name as well). I share your love for the stockman and have a number of them. I have the Junbo/large Stockman and a Medium/Large in the CV Amber Bone like you like. I dislike Case's naming system for knife sizes. Like many, I'm not fond of the spay blade, despite growing up on a farm with cattle. I'd love to see them introduce a modern version of the classic Stockman series replacing the Spay blade with scissors. Also I'm glad to hear that the RoseCraft Cutlery knives are of good quality as I just recently started looking at some of them. IMO the Kershaw Kulpepper would be a Granddaddy Barlow. And the 91mm Victorinox with the scissors File and saw blade is the Ranger model. I also believe the reasoning behind the name of Mountaineer is that they would use the file to sharpen the rock climber's pickaxe. Thats just my impression of the toolset.

really nice part of your collection bob! i kinda like the Delrin on the Od Timers, but i prefer real bone and stag. yeah, the last few years my interests have increased on the Old Timers and Uncle Henry's too, and like the Western brand these 3 brands have been around SO damn long and have sold SO many i thinks folks tend to just simply forget about them because they have become so common place in America, we all tend to overlook them, with that said though, they are ALL a deep solid foot bed and foundation of American knife history if there ever was and that history and timeless classic designs and use is what has re-sparked my interest in them where i've looked past the fact that they may have been some what (dare i say) boring over the decades, but then i stop myself and simply think about all of that history and realize "you know-this is history and sometimes the very simplest of design & function is truly impressive" , and let's face it, hell, we all grew up with at least one of these tools! and to be honest even though a lot of these are simply 440 series steels and the like, these have all proven themselves in and out of the field for longer than most of us have been alive, which also makes them very affordable and attainable for everybody- so that's always been a win-win for everybody, especially the younger generation and kids just getting into knife use and/or collecting. it doesn't have to be all magnacut and all the fancy space age powder formulas, and that's never or not to say those are some of the best in world, it's only to say that we all tend to overlook perfection(or as close as we can get to it) that's been around for decades and right under our noses. so yeah brother, it's good and due time we pay homage and respect to these classics and what actually made them the classics that they are. awesome vid and content as always Bob!! thank you sir

Sometimes I wonder if we are collectors or hoarders. I think there comes a time when we or should I say myself personally that enough is enough and I have come to that time, I own more knives than I can use and nowhere to store them anymore. I also cannot afford this hobby knife buying monthly expensive GEC knives and others I have all I need I am done.

You seem so confused about knives. You say one thing and then try to correct yourself. I’m out.

back in the day they had other uses for this 😂 what uses could you POSSIBLY be referring to? i mean, it’s not like it’s perfectly shaped for scooping up a perfect amount of powder for someone to consume nasally… oh wait
