I agree man I javelin been using this amp all year for my demo. It's an amazing pedal platform but also can stand alone with the dirty channel and built in reverb

Sounds great, I just ordered one as a backup for my tube amp, but honestly I can see myself using it as my main just to avoid all the headaches that come with tube amps.

That's exactly why I got it, had the 5150 iconic series head go on me in 3 months... so I brought it back and grabed the supercrush and I couldn't be happier. I highly recomend it :)

@Gazza Duce an amazing question and not an easy one to answer. Both amps are amazing for metal. The 5150 is bigger, louder and has more gain and a boost built in. It has a very crisp mid range and highs letting your lead riffs cut through the mass amount of gain on tap. It's alott brighter then the orange and runs ob tubes, rectifier tubes I belive so it gets incredibly heavy, I found myself turning the low end up almost all the way. The orange is a solid state, smaller and slightly more affordable option, with not as much gain on tap and a more muddy almost fuzz with the gain cranked all the way up and lots of low end. The super crush carries the signature dark tone of the Orange amps. So I guess depending on what style you are playing will depend on what amp is more appropriate to you. But overall and to be completely honest I would say the iconic series 5150 is the better amp for that extream speed, hair ,thrash metal tone and vibe and the orange for more of a heavy sludge Doom kind of music. But I will give it overall to the 5150. And thank you for your question and checking out my videos. I hope that helps :) 😀

@@the_riffmountain Yeah I’ve had it for a couple weeks now and I love it, most of the time I think I’m playing a tube amp, Orange killed it with this amp, especially for the price. Not having to worry about blowing tubes is a huge plus too.

Got the amp, but I feel I like the CR120 better for doom. This just lacks low end, which I fixed with a simple EQ, but still doesn't sound like the CR120. It's nastier, warmer and fuzzy. This is more of a modern metal amp.

I have not tried the cr120 yet, I'm sure it's amazing for Doom. The supercrush is a solid-state so there will definitly be differences. I play Doom all the time on my super crush, I do use alott of pedals tho and have it on a d3dicated clean channel, so all the dirt and fuzz come from my pedals. But it has a pretty good dark fuzz distortion built into it. I think alott of that is personal preference. I don't like my Bass boosted, and don't use an eq at all. I find I can dial in the right amount of Bass I need with the Givin controls, mind you the black spirit 200 was super Bass heay, I almost had to turn the knob all the way down it was unreal. I find on clean and using so.e pedals you can get pretty much any desierd tone with out having to pay the extra for the CR120.

@@the_riffmountain To be honest, what I wrote yesterday was my very first impression of the Super Crush head in person, I got the amp yesterday! I used to have the Crush 60 combo and it does sounded very different. I slept over and today I fell in love with the Super Crush! The clean channel is amazing and all my pedals sound great! The dirty channel is also amazing and I really don't know what people are complainign about. It has tons of gain and you can play everything on it - blues, thrash, black metal and doom. It might benefit from an OD/boost, but not mandatory. I use an EQ with very light boost on the bass, but it really can go without it. All my fuzz pedals sound nothing short of amazing! I'm seriously thinking of selling the Engl Fireball 25 I have. But I'll give it more time.

You need an attenuator to run this at its best without getting noise complaints on the daily. Tone is so good though I love mine.

An on-board digital reverb module provides a lush, spring-reverb ambience, so we are both right :)

IMO the Orange amps are way to much Midrange focused. I don’t care how much distortion you have. After I hooked up 3 EQs they sounded great.

That's why I love them. On tour they cut through like a knife, and sound guys love them. Cutting without being harsh.
