I went to a live gong meditation once and the experience was phenomenal. I highly recommend doing this live if you have the opportunity. My experience... I felt like my energy and soul was lifted and ringing out of my physical body. And I could "see" the vibrations. I became a vibration. Just one of the most profound experiences in my life.

I experienced standing in front nd back of a huge gong that I struck to feel the vibrational affect, the tone in my body and wow, it's stimulating, tingling and shifting energies in my body that was made obvious by it's serious sound therapy bathing/massage that felt profoundly healing.

I have found that sometimes the gong can bring up feelings of "overwhelm" with certain tones, but I have found that when I've just observed those feelings, and breathed through them; just accepting them for what they are - just feelings, I have found great relief and peace on the other side. I just experienced my first gong bath today, and the first thought that came to my mind was "Wow...if a sound would represent the infinite universe, it would be this!". Also, after hours I still feel the energy that came into my body, I never felt that relaxed in my life. I deffo recommend trying this in real life, at yoga studios. Also, be aware of pain locations in your body, these vibrations could reveal tensioned parts in your body that need to be healed. For me, it was the right part of my head and for my sister it was her hips, but don t worry, the pain fades away

I listen to/experience this almost on a daily basis, and I hear/experience something different every time! I especially appreciate the respect that you have for the gongs, no pounding or banging. Very powerful. Thanks for giving instructions on how to deal with potential anxiety. The gongs are often right between soothing and unsettling, which I find to be a very fascinating mixture. It allowed me to connect to my dark side and deal with it in a safe environment. It's similar to how I feel about drone doom music and dark ambient but the timbre of the gong is so much more dynamic and the crests and troughs of the waves of sound are both more violent and smoother than I ever expected possible from a gong.

I had my first live hong bath a few months ago. I have had and still have so many difficult things going on in my life that my health has suffered hugely. That live session was a doorway for me and I was amazed at how much it helped me to relax mentally and physically. However, I am not able to afford to attend regular sessions and so I found this video on KZbin and have to say THANK YOU because it has been a game changer. I put aside time every other day to listen to it in the comfort of my own home and I’m slowly healing as a result. It the only session I listen to.

This is amazing. As a musician I love these kind of live meditations, combining your expertise with the organic feeling and sound of these beautiful gongs, all performed in the moment. I love how they resonate and evolve in such complex ways. I personally prefer this over the repeated synth chords you find in the most meditation sound tracks (that’s just just my personal preference). But this kind of thing is much harder to find on KZbin. More please 😁

Martyn, my friend, thank you for this gift! I'll start at the beginning, like David Copperfield. Your spoken intro was by far the best instruction I've ever heard when leading people into an altered/meditative state. The experience of the bath was simply awesome; a truly restorative and healing gift of an hour. The unimaginable complexity and depth of tone from the gongs I feel is analogous to the complexity of the human experience, sometimes soothing, sometimes confrontational, sometimes symphonic... (though my internal state has been admittedly much less symphonic and rather more cacophonic at times! The flow of your composition through all the gorgeous instruments, the awesomely complex, ancient magical vibrations and tones was very compelling, like waves of emotion and memory washing over my mind. Finally, I'm sorry to have to break it to you, my friend, but I'm afraid that I'm madly in love with you, (not sorry!) As I'm sure you're aware, your elegant beauty and energy is so soothing, I felt your warmth across vast differences in time and space. Thank you for sharing this lovely gift of music, these magical instruments, and your time and talent with me! ❤

my experience of listening this sound recording has produced palpable effects in body mind and spirit. in the past 4 hours (on my first day) i have already lisyened to it 3 times, and as i type it, m already into 4 minutes of my 4th round...i am very gratelful to the gentleman who put his heart, soul, expwrtise, and alchemy into the creation of this magical video recording. i encourage this to all other weary souls, who haven't found a 'peak experience' or an 'oceanic feeling' elsewhere: give it a whirl, and do watch the video while listening to the sound.

Gosh, that was hard, I felt really anxious for the most part but, I remembered your words and stayed with it and focused on my breathing. Remained anxious but really glad I did stay with it. So much came to the surface. I’m going to have another bath tomorrow and hopefully the anxiety will become a little less. Thank you so much I genuinely appreciated it ❤❤❤

Plus I really appreciated your set up before hand, so useful and I had your words in my head to bring me back to breathing which was containing. I’m amazed by how much came to the surface, nothing actually released but it’s all moved to the centre of my chest and I feel as I progress it will move. It felt like a long time and was difficult at times to sit with which is when I was most grateful for your informative and helpful setup plus you beautiful warm empathetic energy. You’re absolutely right, I following the process and realistic that to let go one first has to re experience to process fully to support letting go. @@supergongspa No I haven’t specifically, but a couple of years ago there was a live one in angel. I was going to go but didn’t, I’m so glad I didn’t Martyn! I’d have died of embarrassment if I’d had the reactions yesterday in a group, I suspect they’d have had to ask me to leave. It was very intense. I’m getting ready for my second bath this evening and despite the anxiety I’m looking forward to it as it felt so powerful and transformative in its ability to bring suppressed thoughts and feelings to the fore. As a Buddhist the various bell/gong sounds hang in the air and we listen until the waves cease. Some sects revere these sounds as the voice of Buddha. Namu kie Butsu. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I kept my eyes open - I usually keep my eyes open when I meditate, it helps me to feel wakeful and that's the experience I'm most comfortable with. This was really beautiful and humbling. I felt reminded that I can set aside time that is entirely for me, as it's a thing I've been neglecting recently due to the rush and busyness of my life. I also especially liked the sense of being connected with the Earth. I can imagine that this would be a profound thing to experience in person. Thank you so much for this.
