I really think one reason why hooper is so good is that he is so stable mentally.. hes powerful but very thoughtful guy.. very strong combination. It was like at wsm where he but stoltman at the carry.. stoltman was almost to casual and he just waited and dug deep as tom kinda went 'yeah thats enough'

The confidence it takes to actually pull a "I didnt come here to get 2nd" comment..and then back that up and kill the field...kudos to the dude...that is legit hardcore..that is a modern day Ricky Bobby alright

I'm just stupidly impressed by Big Mama at 8:53 and 9:08. This was the most impressive thing at the whole show.

Feel bad for novakov , he was such a beast and hes still good but really dropped.. tough situation to keep training right to. I hope he can get back that crazy explosive power he used to have.. im wondering if hes almost carring too much weight on his frame, some guys its great to bulk up but it doesn't seem to be doing him any favours.. like u would want it to make your classic static lifts better, but it doesnt seem to have even done that for him. Such a great competitor to watch when hes in form.

I think he needs to take long time off and heal all injuries first before competing again. He is just making it all worse and for nothing. Not like he will win if he keeps going this way. He is still super young and can heal properly and come back better than ever before.

So is there an approved competition carry method? I was under the impression that there are multiple ways to carry them. Original included some sort of sumo stance and carrying heavy stone in front and lighter behind you. Then came the modern method of carrying it on both sides which allegedly is a harder method to carry.
@alexlorincz99128 ай бұрын
lol no, the split stance is strictly for picking them and standing still for time. Trying to move like that would blow your knees out if not your back

@@tonybarfridge4369 Nah even if he won the elephant bar deadlift event, he would still be no.2. Not to mention he would have to improve his PB by like 160lbs if he wants to beat Thor at Deadlift, which will never happen at this stage of his career.

Strongman already has plenty of "racing" events like farmers, yoke or the loading race. This one is about enduring pain, total body control and mental toughness

I disagree. These are the dinnie stones, those stones are legendary.
