Every show was exciting this year, but WUS is completely MENTAL! That Mateusz was so powerful and fast on his first show in two years, but then Novikov - despite nursing a strained right bicep - ground out a win by one stone blew me away! Janashia gave everything he had. What a heroic feat. Here's why I really love WUS: (1) It happens in one day, in a trial by lactic fire; (2) You are allowed to watch the contest, not wait for months, or hidden behind a paywall; (3) Only the gutsiest athletes dare show up for this kind of beatdown, and (4) Liz and Loz! Thanks to everyone who made this a unforgettable experience. 💯⭐💯⭐💯

Mateusz was unlucky again. If he had been calmer in this first event, he would have raised these 4 times and then he would have won 4 out of 5 events (including this first one together with Novikow and Thompson) and would have won the entire competition.
