You have to defeat the three monster hoards on Eventide then defeat the hoard in the cave and the gate will open :) There's a guy on the island near a fire you might need to talk to to trigger the cave hoard?

So, Hyrule is the same with a few changes, the same villages, same npc's, stables... The sky islands are... Ok, the tutorial sky island is the best still. The underground looks very samey and is not interesting to explore as a whole, it mainly serves as a very big farming area. The mechanics are very good tho so you can still enjoy it if you have played botw before but the game is at it's best when you haven't played botw.
