One thing I see with Källberg is that is playing much more aggressive (something he may in part have learned from Truls). He used to be a very consistent player but was not aggressive enough to bother the top players. He is now playing a high risk/high reward game.

Both WCQ and Truls struggling with Kallbergs short serves allowing kallberg to attack straight on return. Apreciate the commentators attempt to pronounce Källberg the Swedish way but ”Shellburg” would of been just fine 🙈

Iceberg is derived from the Scandinavian word. In Swedish it’s “Isberg” and pronounced as “is berry”. Moregard in the back of his shirt is written as “Moregardh”.

Swedish speaker here. SHELL-BERRY is a quite accurate way to explain the pronunciation for English speakers, except that the Y is a consonant sound as in ‘yes’. That’s how a soft G is pronounced in Swedish.

Well played from Kallberg. Sadly i dont think he with his fast paced both wing topspins poses any real threat to LinShidong! At that game the chinese are just much faster! Maybe he has a thing for bh to bh rallies, thats where some europeans could damage chinese, even in the past (kreanga, ovtcharov, boll etc). But when it comes to fast top-to-top fh rallies, china still rules! Europeans that have a tricky receive game on the other hand (lind, moreghard, boll etc) seem to be the best at countering the fast pace of chinese players. They slow the game down with different backspins and open up rallies on their terms. Lets see what Kallberg has to say against LinShidong. I give him not much chance, but maybe he proves me otherwise😅

Well, Anton almost won LSD during their last encounter the last month. And until LSD started using his hidden shovel shovel serve in the decider, LSD was trailing hard.

Why do I feel the need to comment and explain every point to these guys hired by WTT to fill the silence on this video? Is it that hard to get someone that actually played this sport? Call Adam, TTD or the Pongfinity boys and STOP torturing these poor lads. and How come in Tennis, Badminton, Squash and every god damn sport that can be remotely similar to table tennis people film with a longitudinal angle, but WTT thinks it's clever to use a side angle?!

Know how to play and being ABLE to comment (on the spot) for newbies are two different worlds. Pity those here DON'T realize they are talking to the whole world but only a few really know the game. They think it's simple and ignore the duty. They are to precisely/quickly explain key technical issues and nothing else. So embarrassing on that Shellbery nonsense. Adam is always my only choice.

Kallberg is pronounced “kall berry”. The English speaking world has brutalised every non English word in the planet. Like Peking is now changed to Beijing. Turkey to Türkiye. The Japanese surname always precede the given name like Harimoto Miwa. Not Miwa Harimoto. Mima Ito should be Ito Mima.
