Hina is clearly still not fully fit. She had a pretty bad wrist or shoulder injury on her left (playing hand). She's playing her backhands completely differently to normal. She also hasn't played much since the Olympics so I think she did well today !

As our ancestors the Romans used to say: "Vae victis". I love how everyone invoke all excuses in the world when a star is in trouble, Bernie just played better and that's all folks. Plain and simple, Bernie is capable of winning over an Asian star , what's so wrong ?

i think you don't really watch table tennis. Because the fact that hina couldn't play 100% is striking. She did not even do 1 backhand flick, which is the art in which she's one of the best of the world, and 1 of her most dangerous assets. But well played to Bernie.
