Over the last year, I've had the impression CM is on the slide. Her wide forehand stretch and her fine movement when rapidly switching wings seem compromised. Maybe age? maybe the injuries have mounted up? Still, well played Szocs. I used to mock that backhand. Apologies, and lots of humble pie. The quarter-final against Hina Hayata will be very interesting.

Sport is a lot more fun with pretty girls! But the game being so close in points is very unlikely, I think Chen Meng (I like her exotic for me looks) let Szocs (I like her less than Chen but she looks okay) win, or was it the other way around? Chen Meng knew 100% for sure, that her ball was side and not egde and still claimed wrongfully that it was good. She deserved everything that came next for that unsportmanship! Oh and she often didn't excuse her net balls that lead to a point. She acted disgustingly in general. You would never see something like that from Boll or Samsonov, Koki Niwa etc.
