That's one of the few flaws of fanz zhendong, he usually wins thanks to his power and consistency, but he doesn't have game variation, when he can't win like that he usually loses, ma long for example when he can't win because of his power he changes the tactic of game, change services, play slower etc, fan zhendong doesn't have that, maybe he will acquire it over time and it will be even more fearsome

The last 3 points, Ovtcharov made attach first. This made Fan Zhendong lose control. This is the strategy Harimoto normally uses.

This viewing angle is so annoying... I wish they would go back to the standard angle they use for the slow-motion replays. It's weird because they recognize the value of it in the replays but think it's not good for the main play? So strange.

the wide camera angle means that the viewer has no sense of the width of the table, and no sense of the spin, speed, height or movement of the ball (which is what makes table tennis exciting). it makes all the shots and rallies look basically the same. it really should be changed. table tennis is one of the most fun games to play but currently one of the worst to watch!

Wtt please quit using this camera angle. TT is a game of spin, at this camera angle neither top/back spin nor side spin can be seen. Use behind a player angle again, or if u want to change o badly use a camera at table height from a corner

Dima's serve is very borderline. I do feel for umpires as players make it very difficult for them to judge the legality. After she warned him though, he kept doing the same serve, in exactly the same way and then she says nothing. At 6.41, we get a great view of the serve and to me it looks clearly illegal. If you watch it frame by frame, the ball doesn't leave Dima's hand until he has it very high and then most of the travel is backwards - no way has that gone up six inches. Dima actually drops his hand away after releasing the ball which gives the illusion that it's gone higher, but definitely not. The reality is that umpires aren't brave enough to follow it through because they fear for their jobs if they upset the top players.
