Great game by both players, it was amazing but horrible commentary. I am amazed and shocked by hearing commentators saying Yubin will "obviously" win this match, Yubin will "ofcourse" win this match. Hashimoto gave a slap on the face to all those "obviously" comments. When seeing their statements getting backfired, their voices changed and they started criticizing Yubin. That she "should" know this. She "should" do that and win easy LOL!. In reality, Yubin is an amazing and top skilled player, she knows far more than people sitting in commentary box. Perhaps commentators never played against a proper chopper themselves, you can't play defensive against a proper defensive player. It means you are playing into their game. You can't beat chopper player with chops because chopper has done that whole their life. You have to play aggressive and defensive both which Yubin did. It was just not her day and she missed some shots. Hashimoto played so well, she varied the amount of backspin and sometimes even goes aggressive too.

신유빈선수가 오늘 컨디션이 나쁜지? 경기하는 것이 야무진 느낌이 없네요. 하시모토의 공의 커트에 기선을 빼앗기거나 공격할 때에 하시모토의 공에 대한 컨트롤이 잘 되지 않네요. 또 받아넘길 때에도 하시모토의 컷이 강력해서인지 너무 느리고 높게 받는 느낌이네요. 그러면서 더욱 하시모토가 강력한 커트를 하게 하는 느낌이네요. 좀 더 탁구대에 붙어서 하시모토의 공이 다 뜨기 전에 빠르게 공을 좌우로 넘기면서 하시모토가 커트를 강력하게 할 수 없게 바쁘게 만들었으면 어떨까 싶네요. 이토미마 선수와 하시모토선수의 경기를 참조하면 좋을 듯하네요. 신유빈의 팬으로서 어설픈 훈수를 두었네요~ 화이팅!!!

How is Shin Yubin being coached by Joo Sae-hyuk and then losing against choppers? This should honestly be her specialty, the Korean team should never lose to choppers.

Shin Yubin is ranked much higher than Honoka Hashimoto. However, Hashimoto is a well experienced chopper/defender and has only returned playing in the international circuit again after a long absence. She has just won the singles title in the WTT Feeder Olomouc 2024 tournament beating China's top chopper Yang Yiyun and also the doubles event with her partner Hitomi Sato.
