Possibly the best part of this match is how different it is from the previous one between Simon and LJK, when they played brilliant table tennis, but there was some controversy and negativity towards the end. When someone plays not "by the Chinese book" against China player, they get confused. Simon did a lot of not standard creative shots. With all respect to LJ/WH team, as you noticed, they didn't know what to do. However, in the last set, while WINNING 7:2(!), for some reason, Simon, I believe, forgot what was his "thing"(pressure, tension), he forgot that he sets the tone of the game, he has the advantage, he is the master of the situation. Instead, he gives up his initiative and starts losing point after point in a rather standard finale..... Damn.. ) But, doesn't matter what, to me Simon is "The Goat" of Macao 2024. I think today we witnessed one of the most incredible and fascinating games in TT. (applause)
