AMAZING! It's so nice to see other people's view point of the trip. During the Suntrip i didn't have time to follow everyone else. Thanks to everyone involved!!

What you as a first-timer and Herman as an older man, did, was really extra-ordinary. It was a pleasure to see riding close to one another for a large part.

Amazing test of endurance both man and machine. It tests both rider and bike to the extreme, pushing them to, and beyond, their limits. Finishing the race, whether you come in first or last, is a testament to both man and machine, worthy of honor and praise.

Fantastic, in addition to the adventure, a beautiful part is designing your own vehicle. Then you have to calibrate the "energies" to reach your goal, what I do in a small way with my humble vehicle in just one day a week .. a recumbent and already in construction phase 😉 Congratulations again!

This was fun to watch. Is there a website where the technical aspects of all the bikes are discussed, diffences, advantages, disadvantages, lessons learned? I didn't find a comprehensive tech report on the Sun Trip website, any advice where I should look. I have googled. Thanks. I want to see this tech grow and become commonplace, the norm.

Is it legal to use, lets say something like a sail?
@Turksarama4 жыл бұрын
A sail would be hard to use. Gusts could very easily blow you over, and when there's no wind they weigh a lot.
@fraaggl4 жыл бұрын
a sail would necessitate a much stronger structure, therefore much heavier... But a light weight wind turbine would be a nice addition !
@Turksarama4 жыл бұрын
@@fraaggl The problem with turbines is that you can't easily extract just the component of wind which is travelling orthogonal to your direction of travel, which means you sap energy from your own forward movement. Add in conversion losses, and you tend to lose more energy than you gain.

@TheSunTrip Жыл бұрын
@strba04 Жыл бұрын
