I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it and enjoyed my style of delivering information, I hope you continue to enjoy the videos on the channel. I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Too many people are taken from us too soon by situations like that. May they rest in peace. Thank you, I always do my best to ride defensively and fully aware of whats going on. The zooz aesthetic is really dope. The bike is surprisingly sporty as it’s still faster than most e-bikes you passed by, despite being the “slower” model. I thought it was cool how you described your style of defensive riding throughout the video. Theres a big difference between a rider who also drives and a rider who doesn’t, you obviously have driving experience and are applying that judgement while riding PEVs. I think some riders out here (especially Citi bikers) lack perspective from the drivers seat so they are more likely to get into an accident with a car while drivers who also ride PEVS can predict drivers actions way better.

thanks for joining us on this ride Khan! I 100% agree with you about the Zooz aesthetic. It's surprisingly quick and people forget that you don't need as much power to get a 55lb bike up to speed. You hit the nail on the head. As the original base model and as their "slowest" bike now, it's still faster than most things in NYC! Thanks man. I appreciate that you noticed that detail. My goal for this series changed this year. It went from showing NYC's sights to educating/ entertaining. I hope that explaining the thought process behind the routes and moves along with telling a story or two will help everyone understand a little bit more about why things happen the way they do in NYC while keep things fun. It's easy to backseat drive and criticize over the computer for how we do what we do in this city but maybe this will allow those critical people an insight into what we deal with here.

I totally agree with the “flow of traffic” rider logic. (14:13)it’s a sixth sense kinda thing for us riders in NY. It heightens your awareness as well. I don’t consider myself a reckless rider by any means, and I value pedestrian safety as well, but also coming from a pedestrian pov, going with the flow of traffic is a grace we extend to each other in a busy city.
@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides 16 күн бұрын
Thanks for joining us on this ride and thanks for supporting the idea of “flowing with traffic” in NYC. It’s actually really hard to put into words because, like you said, it does become a sixth sense for us that have ridden in this mess for years. Perfectly said from a pedestrian perspective. I can also support that statement as a driver. We’re all pretty ok with things if it’s with in the “flow of things” but the dumb stuff really sets us off 😂

Since there are no scripts or talking points involved, I can literally just focus on enjoying the ride and chit chatting with yall! I hope that I can make more of these videos eventually. Goal is atleast 2x a month. The only thing is, I have to have it in rotation since I'm only capable of making 1 video a week. When I upgrade my computer, I hope that will make the video creation process faster and thus leading to 2 videos a week!

I ride many of these same streets on my non-e-bike, and it's nice to see another rider calling out many of the same hazards that I encounter (wrong-way CitiBikes, zombie pedestrians stepping in front of you). I'm glad to know that I'm not alone in being annoyed by this stuff.
@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides 16 күн бұрын
thanks for joining us on this full commute experience video and welcome to the channel Keith! For many years, I too rode these crazy streets on a fixed gear/ road bike (drive as well). I've never been fond of these unnecessary hazards. I totally get that we don't always do the "correct things" on the road because countless people have called me out for it. However, there's a method to the madness here in NYC and it becomes a sixth sense over time. Anything that deviates from that puts everyone in danger.

as always, thanks for joining us on the ride reuben! It's insane how night and day the traffic can be in the city. That's why I was like "sht do I stay in manhttan and take the more stressful route orrrrrrrr chill through Brooklyn". It's always a love hate relationship with this city lol. "AYYYOOOO PAAAAUSSSSEEEEEEE... yooo pauussseeeee... sht was _________ my guy" is soo built into my system growing up here in NYC that I gotta fight the urge now that I'm a grown professional hahaha. (we can't fill in that blank anymore since we'll get cancelled. But old school NYers know what would be in that blank lol) Btw, you coming to the Zooz ride tomorrow?

Great video, I haven't been to NYC in years. I used to have an amazing time every time i would visit the area. I'd love to visit again, but with everything the way it is now, I wouldn't know what areas to stay away from anymore. If I do visit the city, I would probably go to the Kung Fu P Panda first and meet up with the other PEV riders and take it from there.

@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides 20 күн бұрын
thanks for joining us while we zooz around the city! The green paint can be a quite slippery when the roads are wet. I generally try to stay off the the painted things if their wet because I've slipped out a few times (on pedal bikes) over the years. Back then it was ok because the lanes weren't as congested as they are now, however, I'd like to not get hit by 15 mopeds/ebikes/ scooters/ pedal bikes/ cars if I slip out in the bike lane lol

@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides 16 күн бұрын
thanks for joining us on this full commute experience video and welcome back to the comments section Kevin. I have about 1000 miles under my belt on the inmotion v11. However, I stopped riding it 2 years ago when I got into an accident on it and fractured my hand in the process. It was an incredible feeling flying around the city on it and at a certain point it feels like its a part of you. It's probably the most intuitive of the PEVs and the one that's most likely to feel like an extension of your body. It wasn't as hard to learn as people made it seem. After doing about 30 minutes of drills (mounting/ dismounting, pendulums against the wall, riding while holding on to a railing, and doing push drills (like skateboarding), I was able to ride it around the empty basket ball court. It took a few days for my body to adjust to riding it and it took about 100 miles before i felt comfortable enough to take it on a NYC commute. After about 250 miles, I was doing the long commutes that you see on these videos and intuitively navigating traffic. I think it's worth trying on an inexpensive preowned V10 to see if you like it and upgrading to a beast if you end up enjoying it. I think I'd still be riding it as my primary PEV if I didn't get doored in a bike lane. It has the best power/range to size compared to all the PEVs and it's the easiest to wheel into an office building because it's like having luggage.

@eyebahnrides dang, thanks for that long response. I forgot to check if you answered until now. Yeah I wasn't aware of your euc trials and tribulations. Sucks that it happened with you and that car. It must be very hectic navigating throw all that NYC traffic. But also very exciting aswell. But you have responsibilities and it doesn't make sense to risk all that for a thrill. Thanks for your time and take care.
