Seeing your chicken plucker reminded me of the first time I dated my wife. We visited a Hutterite Colony near Saskatoon. (It was a Young People's Rally sponsored by our church.) We toured the Colony and saw their chicken operation. They also sold chickens to the public. I always look forward to your KZbin postings. That opening part showing the cows in the fog on your farm is beautiful. . . . By the way, I am still married to that "girl" after 56 years. 😊

I have an ATV I need to fix myself, maybe Sanders can give me some pointers. MacKenzie and Seth are a nice young couple, they have a great attitude, good to see, congrats. Good luck with all the preparations for the up and coming event. Thanks and I hope you all have a great weekend!

🇨🇦 that’s an amazing freezer full of chicken. I love it when I place a meal on the table, and I’m sure you do as well, that’s grown, raised and or harvested by your own hands. With God’s blessings added to it of course 😊 also I wanted to add that Sanders is so grown up and he learns so much every time he switches or repairs equipment. There’s no better class than life imho. My husband commented, “ well he’s not in the house playing Nintendo” 😂

Butchering days are always hard on the heart. I always felt bad when it came time to butcher rabbits. I believe God gave man stewardship over all the beasts, and if done with respect, then it's with His blessing. Kenzie's expression when she though she couldn't unbox the crock pot was priceless! When the hens stop laying, do they become roasters/stew hens? God's blessings and grace to you
@acresofclayhomestead Жыл бұрын
Yes, I have a couple extra roosters right now that I should have butchered when I did the meat birds...

Cornish Rock birds only take 10 to 12 weeks to reach processing weight. If you don’t butcher them when they’re ready, they get too large to walk and will die on their own by about 14 to 16 weeks.

As Jason from "sow the land" says of chicken butchering, it's one bad day of a blessed life for the chickens. Love the Sanders clip, I wish I had home schooling like that when I was his age, I liked tinkering with small engines etc. but lost interest because there were no manuals to pursue. Great video.

That yanmar Engine is the same exact Engine in my Gogreen APU used on most of our trucks in the Smith Transport Fleet. Those engines are good for 12,000 to 15,000 hrs before needing a overhaul with 1,000 hrs oil change intervals. A driver can take his 10 hrs break not idle main Engine stay warm or cool keep batteries charged on maybe 4 to 5 gallon of fuel instead of burning 1 gallon an hrs with main engine
