I love Xiao Zhan and he is certainly one of China's best actors in both historical and contemporary film and tv. (Good singer too.) I can only think that jealousy motivates these 'anti-fans.'

Xiao Zhan is NOT the right actor to play Guo Jing. However, he is better as Yang Kang, the evil prince because of his feminine appearance. The only reason why Tsui Hark would cast Xiao Zhan is because Xiao Zhan is currently the most handsome actor in China who can draw in a large box office crowd.

No idea what an anti fan is :/ but I am looking forward to watching the remake. I have seen the last version. New versions are always great to watch just to see how much advancement is made with special effects, also, the essence behind the original narrative . For instance here in Uk we get different adaptations of say, Jane Austins works ie pride and predjudice and many more and it always causes opinions. 👍I have a feeling this will be good with Xiao Zhan in it.
