I believe he has stated a few times in recent videos that the KZbin money does cover the cost of the cards. He is a guy who started early and has over 90,000 subscribers and gets thousands of views on his videos within a day or 2, so you can bet he is doing quite well. If a person trys to start now, it may take a long, long time to build up a subscriber base anywhere near that. remember that maybe 6-8 years ago there may have been a few people doing scratchers on youtube, so many people subscribed to those few, now there are probably hundreds and hundreds.
