As someone currently in the ATC hiring process, hiring only occurs in 4 day windows 1-2 times per year. Next timeframe is not until April. Current people in the system are continuing. And completely unrelated to a crash a week later. 3. He simply did not fire 3000 controllers so I don’t know what that is.

Confirm. The FAA qualification process is NO JOKE. I was denied a private pilot license simply because I was seeing a shrink for PTSD. I could have appealed by opening the books on all my medical records, including shrink notes. HIPAA laws do not apply. So basically, I could get a license to drive a school bus or gas tanker, but not to fly a plane carrying 50 gallons of fuel and weighed less than a Smart Car. This was during the Obama era.

The helicopter would have to be going absolutely balls out max and the jet would need to be riding full flaps just above stall for that to maybe be possible. It's not feasible in the real world, if even physically possible. You got to put it on the military helicopter though. The jet's on a routine trip. The military is hopping around training. Military's fault.
