I think Caitriona is so beautiful too. Her performance during the honeymoon, and Faith giving birth I was exhausted myself watching her suffer thru the illness and birth. I cried so hard watching that. The scene in the cemetery when she and Sam were looking at the grave and when Sam layed the spoons on the marker oh i couldn't swallow i was so choked up. Just a splendid job by both of them. I love this show. Its my obsession. I agree Caitriona is brilliant. She's got such a great comedic side and great sense of humor. I love the humor between them in interveiws. Sam well his name if this was during the time of Camelot would surely be announced at court with trumpets " Sam the SPLENDID your majesty" 😉🤗😋😁🙃😘😳😍💜👌

Love them also they are similar in many ways actually both empaths both actors both runners both drinkers both from uk both good looking very good looking both outgoing both have the same silly sense of humour .

Camilla Barclay --- Sam is the one Who is the Runner. He ran two marathon in a month. Caitrona only ran once & she said never again. Sam enjoys running. He is a exercise Buff. Sam lives & is from Scotland. Caitrona is from Ireland.

Love listening to them talk about the show. The way Cait was talking about shooting ep 2 and 8 together and how she said it was sort of a head turner and then how she looked at Sam smiling and he looked at her made me think ep 8 might be one to look forward to, she was looking kind of coy and they had a knowing look in their eyes....:)

I've only read the first book (because I decided to just wait and not be spoiled) so I don't know what's supposed to happen. But the internet is buzzing about a "print shop" scene which I guess is their reunion and it's supposed to really hot and heavy. People seem to think it's epi 5 but based on the comments Cait made about what episodes they're together she said 4 & 5, they aren't together. But she says they are in 2 & 8 - so I'm wondering if that happens in 8 - or else she's really good at throwing the fans off the scent!!

Sometimes it is best not to watch and listen to fans and interviews etc. , especially the ones that have read all the books, they love to let things slip just because "they know something" lol!! I think the print shop is ep 6 although we just had 4 so there is only 5 for Claire to time travel again and then she has to actually find him. I wish the episodes were two hours long, that would be brilliant. I bought the first 5 books and am only half way through the first one. Like you I didn't want to know too much of what is to come but they do keep throwing these mini videos out there which as I said probably we shouldn't watch, I see why they are there, but do we really need to watch them to keep our interest, I think not...:)

@novagold1 I agree about watching interviews but I do love seeing my favorite characters "in the wild"!! Yes, 2 hours would be fabulous!! Right now I'm rewatching the whole series (again) in between watching the new episodes. I wonder when the season 3 dvd will come out? Probably not until after the new season airs completely. I got the first book on kindle but I'm thinking of getting the books instead.

Yes of course interviews with Cait, Sam and Tobias are a must to see and it is difficult to bypass them. I have watched season 1 and 2 several times on Netflix but wasn't willing to wait for them to get season3 so am watching on tv and recording on my PVR which is lovely because then again I can re watch at my leisure. I would like official DVD's eventually because Netflix will drop the show at some point and if my PVR gives up the ghost I will lose my recordings. You are probably right, I don't imagine that the DVD for season 3 will be available until it has finished being shown on tv. Seems crazy that they are now filming season 4. There are several facebook groups that I like to follow but there are some die hard book people on them that can get a bit irritating with their comparisons and need to talk about characters that we haven't even seen yet and how important they are etc...oh. well....:)

You must not be in the US. We only have it on DVD rental - not streaming. My husband didn't want to add STARZ to our cable TV package so I got a subscription through my Amazon Prime account - HA! I don't follow any groups or forums - too time consuming. I'm a huge fan but not a fanatic. It would be fun to go to Comic Con in San Diego (I live in California) but it's too far and I'd never go by myself. The hubby isn't a fan and would never go to something like that. Is it Sunday yet?!!

I think that Sam is nervous around Cait. She can be Intimidating sometimes with Sam. Sometimes she Humiliates Sam up on stage during Comic Com. She puts her fingers in her mouth & shows the gag me sign like she going to throw up.

I'm from South Africa and have only recently been introduced to Outlander, and please know that the following is merely my observation and not siad to anger or upset anybody. My reaction to "Outlander" 🙊😲😲😲 wow, where have I been these past 5 years..... And to add further insult to my lack of knowledge, discovering season 3 was shot in my own country of South Africa 🙈🙉🙊... To answer your question and observation as to why Caitriona & Sam were sitting so far apart, I declare that I'm of the same opinion as you. During season 1 and 2 they couldn't leave each other alone, both on and off the set, and often openly admitted during interviews that they never acted professionally and just laughed it off. To me their playfulness, the seemingly constant body contact of reassurance, made by each other during 2014 / 2015 interviews, and also when not filming, seems to support the theory that they did have a relationship. Nobody just constantly hugs or touches another person without a reason, and normally that reason is accompanied by strong emotions. I surmise this relationship occurred soon after they met, through 2013, 2014 and possibly ending 2015. I'm also of the opinion that an admission to a romantic relationship during this period would never be forthcoming. This I think, is due to initial ignorance of not realizing the show would be such a hit, being isolated from the outside world in Scotland, during filming and possibly not realizing that their initial romantic relationship would pitter to a good friendship. So yes, only after season 2 once being scrutinized by reporters, they confirmed the truth of their relationship at that stage, which was that of friendship. I do remember reading somewhere about it, but then only from a single source, that what I'm suggesting is in actual fact what happened. What was said seemed plausible. Will try send a screen shot to you as interested to hear what you make of it. We now know that Caitriona started seeing her husband end 2015 and dating during 2016, engaged 2018 and married 2019. Right up until 2018, she was still very gregarious, spontaneous and the Caitriona that we all fell in love with. Since her engagement she seems to have started distancing herself from Sam, which is understandable and portraying a persona of professionalism. Caitriona still has amazing chemistry on screen with Sam but personally not so much in her latest movie "Ford & *Ferrari". She is an incredibly talented actress, being able to clearly understand any given scene without a 2nd thought, the intellect to understand and answer any question with poise. Caitriona has grown and matured in both her character role as Claire Fraser, as well as personally. She oozes charm, beauty, talent, warmth of character, independence, defiance, wit, determination, poise, joy, resilience, strength and inner peace. I salute you Caitriona Balfe for what you have accomplished during a relatively short acting career. However, part of me is fearful that she might loose her spontinaity and spunk. In her earlier life she was a model and as such, learnt the tricks of the trade....to be emotionless whilst walking the ramp, as the constant photos weren't about her, but rather what she was wearing. A part of me hopes and prays that she won't fall back to this "professional lack of portraying real emotion and connection". I say this because I can't help but get the impression that she is keeping all at bay and when on the red carpet, doesn't smile at all when compared to those early years of 2014/15, not even with her husband. Please don't shoot me as the messenger of all these observations and opinions, but would really welcome talking about "Outlander" as we are only now going onto season 3. Does the show really differ that much from the books?

@@tracybrown9698 Hi there! I didn't realize Caitriona had married. My thoughts are that they spent so much of their time naked that it would be hard not to have intimacy off screen. She's a talented actress but I don't really care for her on or off the screen. I'm in the US and season 5 just became available to watch. Currently, we just got episode 3. I didn't read the books but have now read book one. I really enjoy the show. Hope you continue to enjoy it!

Hmm interesting. A lot of the questions are quite repetitive in nature, and just not intellectually stimulating for a person like her. And both, especially Sam, just look so exhausted. I’m not surprised if all they wanted was just to go home and sleep for the next couple of months off.

Julie Straub I think Cait wants Sam to talk more and by default carries the interview a bit as Sam can be a little withdrawn. I think his answers were quite thoughtful though. Don’t forget, he is a shy type and being in a theatre with 1000? women looking at you wouldn’t be the most comfortable place to be. No offence.
