Imo this race is THE all time classic race of the hybrid era, every minute was exciting and there were many twists in all categories. the hybrid era will be remembered like group C or the GT1 era in 20 years time and this will be the race ppl bring up to say it was the best era. And while im happy the era is coming to an end now, damn was it a wild ride.

Totally agree. Tbh, this is one of the best races I have ever seen in any motorsport discipline. Incredibly wild ride. I was fortunate enough to watch this live to really take it all in, lost count of the amount of times I have rewatched this. I will miss this era, heres hoping the new rules and links with the IMSA series, that we can get back to some serious, competitive endurance racing.

Two races into the 2016 season, and the big story seems to be that no one can race reliably in a hybrid. And I don't like Chip Ganassi's little games to avoid BOP. If BOP is the rule, play fair. The rules define the game. If you play outside the rules, you're not playing the game. And if Toyota are going to show us their mechanics' asses every time they're in the garage, they should show their mechanics' asses on the screen in an inset window the entire time. Single them out. Call them on it. Show them for the asshats they are. If I were a highly educated and skilled elite racing mechanic and someone told me to put my ass in front of a camera until the work was done, I'd go knocking on a few doors up and down the pit lane to see who else was hiring. I don't know why FIA/WEC tolerated that nonsense. That said, I'm really enjoying these endurance races!

@@jansonb482 Yeah, I could be looking at some hot young 20-something boy's ass in a thong. That would be more rewarding than looking at mechanics in overalls. Don't you agree? Mechanic's asses look a lot better when they're not used to hide something else. They look best when they're working on a car, and not obscuring truth. Or maybe on a calendar...

It was a hot day so I guess every marshall were running hot at some point. The Kolles didnt catch fire today though, no BBQ, thats a bummer.
