What will graphics and latency look like if you connect to bigger screen via HDMI from laptop?

It will work if you make bigger screen your main screen through device manager. Once you finish the game you will hace to change the main screen back to your laptop screen

It works amazing. I use for sim racing .. is amazing as has 1080 300hz monitor but I use with external monitor 4k 165hz

Have you since figured it out? Seems the most basic questions about specs for racing are rarely answered. You just have to know, or something? I'd like to be able to use the lower half of a TV screen (don't need the upper half putting my computer at work). Can this be done? Which games? I'd like to replace my laptop and NOT have to buy a whole game PC as well to start racing. Could a laptop with 16GB and 4080 make racing nice enough with a dual 4K 57" ultrawide, perhaps at dual 1440P to reduce pixels by 55.5%?

With GPU prices dropping, a laptop right now is a terrible investment. Not to mention, Nvidia has ordered too many chips and will have a crazy surplus of un-sellable (I don't think it's a word) GPUs on their hands when the 40 series release. Which most likely means even cheaper, newer GPUs. Again, making the need for a laptop obsolete. Especially for a simracing setup. Laptop portability is nice, but my racing seat isnt moving anyways. Just for anyone that might be interested, laptop GPUs are almost always underpowered compared to their desktop counterparts. So I wouldn't be surprised if a mobile 3070ti is only as powerful as a desktop 3070 or 3060ti. I don't know the details of this specific laptop, but do your homework before buying, whether it be this laptop or any other laptop.
