Both of them wanted to stay (which is somehow understandible) the team here made a huge difference..Lewis was informed about weather, that Max is piting, his engineer literally ordering Lewis to pit even tho he said the track is geting dry..if Merc didn't push Lewis to pit and listened to him like Mclaren did to Lando this would've been a different story and we would had Max wining from the last place lol
@skiiwine99733 жыл бұрын
But radars aren't 100% accurate. RB let Max decide if he wanted to switch or not because they weren't sure ether and fortunately Max made the right decision. There was a moment when Will advised Lando that track was already very slippery and Lando's reply was "Yeah shut up!". I think if Lando was composed and didn't let his temper tantrum took him over, he would've have made a better decision like Max. This what I heard from the full comms in chronological ordor. Will advised Lando that DRS has been disabled. It means track is getting slippery. Will advised Lando that some cars were pitting for interns. Will advised Landothat track was already VERY slippery and lot of cars were going off track. Lando's reply "Yeah! Shut up!". Will asked Lando again if he would like to switch to intern Lando angrily replied "NO!".

@LewisHamilton2020 I listened to it Lando's radio calls, it wasn't clear he should pit. I think the team missed the call, partly because Lando was really strong about staying out.

When I heard the result and what happened to Lando so late on I felt sorry for him. Not so much now after seeing this. He got what he deserved. Being disrespectful to your crew is a big no no. They got you to where you were.

Lando engineering : What you think of inters? Lando: Shut up... No... Arrogance, inexperience, uncooperative and being extremely shortsighted was Lando's recipe for his disaster race. This is why Hamilton is a champion and not Lando.

it's his 3rd year and it's his first time at the front of the front. He was being chased by a faster car and had to manage with the rain. Hamilton has experience in this therefore knowing what to do. Lando will definitely learn from this.

The moment LH pitted, Norris should have pitted. The team should have taken the charge as would not have lost much. Alteast P2 was confirmed even if he pitted on lap 50, that would have been enough

Agreed a sure second place for lando cause max was way back about 50+ seconds so in hindsight he should have pitted right after Lewis

Agree, but Lando is egotistic. I don't quite get why he is so desperate for that Win. Maybe peer pressure? He even thought of snatching that Win from his team mate in Monza. He got 2nd, the best finish of his F1 career, yet you could tell in his eyes he was envious of Ricciardo

@@dendankegamer Harsh calling Lando egotistic when Lewis was about to make the same error himself. This wasn't just Lando at fault but the team also need to take responsibility for the loss. There is a subtle but key difference between the information Lewis got from his race engineer to that of Lando's which sealed the result. Lewis was told the rain was intensifying and it was wet at the far end of the track - even coming into the pits Lewis was unsure it was the right decision to switch to inters but trusted his team. Lando on the other had with the information he'd been given felt the conditions were tricky but manageable not realising the information was wrong and the conditions were getting worse. They were even asking him how he felt about going on inters rather than saying conditions have worsened pit for inters. So I think your critic of Lando is unfair based purely on how this race unfolded.
@Veyron_fan3 жыл бұрын
@Lim Heng 1st to pit will win, yeah that only works in hindsight of knowing it's about to hammer with rain. If you've been told it's not going to get worse then 1st to pit has lost as you're not making up a 25 second pit stop in 3 or 4 laps if the guys on slicks are only a few seconds a lap slower.... Lando was just in the lose lose situation. In the end it was a coin flip. Either they trust their weather prediction of not getting worse and stay out, or they ignore their own data and pit and hope they got the forecast wrong and Lewis then has to come in for inters after Lando. Awful situation.

I love this format of replaying the greatest events of a race, no commentary, no useless chit-chat, just great action with the team radio communications.. however, I would love for the engine sound to not only buzz in my left ear, but to make that soundtrack equal on both left and right side speakers for a better viewing experience in the future:)

Agree. There were a lot of warning signs. He just needed to ask, instead of saying the magic word "Shut up" .
