Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid was a match made in heaven and once he hits the ground running, it’s gonna seem like he’s been at that football club for his entire life even though it’s his first ever season. Now that he’s at Real Madrid a proper home, he can get on with his business focus on his career as he doesn’t have to deal with contract situations not being paid the money that you deserve and he doesn’t have to be involved in the political situation in France because as a footballer, I know it’s an election year, but it’s not your business to get involved in politics. When he said that he doesn’t care about what position he’s asked to play, that’s the sign of someone who knows the manager he’ll be playing under and the profile of players who’ll be feeding him the ball from an attacking perspective. The fact that they signed him on a free even though they didn’t need him it tells you that Real Madrid have the luxury and financial power to sign anybody they want and even though he’s not a traditional striker and they still managed to win trophies last season, their team still needs Mbappe as a goalscorer was the final piece of the puzzle in their attack and signing a guy who was the top scorer in all competitions last season and had the most goals in the champions league depending on how he’s able to gel into their system, he’s expected to deliver and make a mark at this football club. Keep in mind that Mbappe is going to be surrounded around a better supporting cast and has the right manager to help him realize his full potential. He’s going to be under a lot of pressure to perform at Real Madrid since there’s a lot more eyes on him there than there ever was people want to see him prove himself in a much more challenging league and while I don’t think he’s gonna come close to reaching Messi and Ronaldo’s standards from a statistical perspective, if he’s able to get 40+ goals every season and leads this team to a couple of champions league titles, that bodes well for his legacy.
