I finished a full box of Maltesers whilst watching this. Chocolate and David and Daisy, what could be better. As usual art meets skill, meets patience meets perfection. I particularly like the darker wood contrasting details. Who else would take the trouble to paint the dovetails? The wood glows and what was a dated, tired and rather old fashioned bureau is now clean, fresh and ready to take its place in a lovely room. You dealt with many challenges but kept going and produced perfection . . . . Again.

Lovely! And glad Daisy is feeling better. The wood grain is lovely, the darker stain on the handles was just right, and future restorers will thank you for not gluing down the felt. After seeing the rosewood stain, I do want to see a future piece using that stain and copper trim.

Once again David your finish on the bureau was on point. I know its a 50s piece but I saw little nods to deco in it, expecially how you brought out the wood grain and the ball feet. I’m happy to see Daisy feeling so much better. She is such a beautiful dog. I have to giggle at the subtitles during the heater demonstration. You’ve got such a droll sense of humor. A good workbench doesn’t have to be perfect, nor pretty. I really like the one you’ve cobbled together, and the engraved bits are a great personalization. Oh, my, what a transformation! The old, darker finish was hiding a real gem. The new finish is gorgeous, and I love your attention to details. Stunning result as always David. That is very like a desk my father had when I was a child. He’d got it off my Granny and , being an insurance man, he’d do all his work at it. I’m glad to see Daisy looking and feeling better. She has you wrapped around her lovely doggy paws, one word from you and she does whatever she likes lol. 9:22 “You ready?” Daisy: I was born ready! TIL that shellac is a natural resin secreted by the lac bug. It is dissolved in alcohol to create a liquid finish. David, a suggestion if I may be so bold. When Daisy wants attention and you’re trying to work a quick walk will do wonders. 15, 30 minutes max. Afterwards Daisy will be happy and exhausted and you will be happy and undisturbed. You did a great job of reviewing the Solaris 718 heater. I clicked on the link because I know that gives you credit with the sponsor (once someone has arrived at their web page it’s their job to close the deal) but I am actually interested in buying the heater. I live in a relatively older apartment which isn’t well insulated and the heating system isn’t particularly efficient. I feel almost spoiled at the opportunity to watch a 45 min video from you. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this. 4 hours of sanding 😳 Watching the staining was so satisfying, especially with the beautiful music. I really like your color choices. The end result was magnificent. Bravo 👍

You were right David, the wood grain really jumps out with the way you restored this piece. The pigeon holes and handles look great and added dimension to the piece.
