We purchased a Roomba i8 the end of 2021 and I haven’t had to hand vacuum since. I love how I can start it up while I’m cleaning the kitchen or doing laundry, then once I’m finished with my task the rooms are vacuumed and now I can sit down and relax! 🍻📺😌

Yes to all of that @d8ta scientist 👏 I love how it feels like I’m multi-tasking when the Roomba is working and love the extra time to relax and play 🤩

My wife insisted on getting a Dyson cordless vac like our daughter has. But our daughter bought her's years ago. The current reviews are very disappointing for any cordless vac. Our other daughter has an Roomba and loves it. It came on sale at Costco so I bought it. After it cleaned our whole house while we went shopping, I realized what a great thing it is. We don't vacuum the house anymore. Roomba does it! All we do is spot clean the corners that the round robot can't get. What's really great is that ours cleans under the bed, so no more dust bunnies!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing, and I’m glad you can share in the joy of doing something fun while the Roomba vacuums for you! Cheers!

Thank you, Sara. I have the Roomba 880 & Roomba 770, purchased approx. 8 yrs.ago. They still work, but I do replace the filters, rollers, and battery, when needed. I am so spoiled having them, running them most days, as a Daily routine over carpet & tile floors, especially because of my allergy to dust and having a pet cat. I would not wish to be without a robot vacuum anymore. I am now considering upgrading to the J8+, sold at Costco, which “self-empties” which would be beneficial to me because of my allergy to dust. Then, i would not be coming in contact with any dust like now to empty the bin.

Thanks for taking the time to comment and share @Terri and yes - the self emptying feature will reduce interaction with dust even more! Glad you love your Roomba!

Can i ask you what you think about mopping/wiping function? Thank you so much.

Good question! Mine is only a vacuum and doesn’t have the mopping function. I do have a friend who has one and likes it! Maybe I need to get one and try it out 🤩

Hello and thank you for your video. I'm 90% blindsighted and cleaning seems to drain the rest of my eyesight. So, I'm planning to buy an iRobot i8+ or a iRobot J5+, because I need the mopping function too. I have 45 square meters, which is about 484 sq ft, and laminate flooring. In my bathroom, I have tiled floor, so I need the mopping function very much. Can you please make a video of the mopping function?Thank you soo much, and have a great sunday, best greetings from Carinthia, Austria.

Thank you for the idea @stolmich! I will look into the mop version. I have a friend who has it and loves it!

@@SaratheMomNextDoor , thanks for the fsat reply. According to a salesman from Mediamarkt, this robot has a mopping function, you only need to swap the dustbin, and scan a QR-code in the app, to activate it. With the mopping pad attached, the robot cannot self-empty, because it blocks the port.

Wow thanks for the info, I had no idea it could do this! I’m going to look into it and will make a video if I try it out 🫶

Can I ask you what the app to iRobot without to pay for iRobot thank you so much
@SaratheMomNextDoor2 жыл бұрын
@Ian the iRobot app is free and is called “iRobot” but there’s not much you can do with the app unless you purchase an iRobot vacuum. I hope that answers your question
