Interesting story on your CEM26, and decent review. I've got an older CEM25P and a GEM45 which is my work horse. That being said I'm still amazed how well the 25 tracks with good polar alignment, balancing and guiding. Over all I find iOptron make a great product. I even picked up the Skyhunter for when I'm on vacation and have to haul it onto the plane. Look forward to more videos. Do you get out of the city to shoot at all? I'm in YYZ as well and always look forward to clear nights away from the city.

Thanks very much. Unfortunately I haven't imaged out of the city for a while now. Used to go to Caledon and sometimes Hamilton if I want to shoot to the south. I'm hoping to get out of the city this summer tho 🤞

@KeystotheCosmos I head up to Conn which is about 30 min or so north west of Orangeville. It's Bortle 4 which is not bad for an hour and a half away.

What are FWHM and eccentricity of unguided images? Drift per minutes? Camera pixel size?

Nice overview and review, great to hear your thoughts. It's a nice mount but not cheap in comparison with other brands. The one thing I hate the most at the CEM26 is that you can't connect it directly with an usb, it always must go via the hand controller, that is such a shame about it. And I really don't understand why Ioptron is doing this. About the head/saddle, I replaced it with an ADM one for the CEM26/28, much better grip and way better than that simple one screw head that it comes with, but that's just my experience and must say that I only use losmandy style dovetails. And the CEM26 is even better than the AM5 when it's a bit windy, that's the problem these days, everyone is making the mounts lighter and lighter, though they forget that a heavier mount is more stable, pure logic

Why not an eight SCT? An C8 weights around 12.5 lbs, plus some equipments, stills in 60% of its capacity
