Great review! I honestly love a good stripping shampoo, because of all the gels I use in my hair. I don’t mind it, because that’s the whole point of following up with conditioner/deep conditioner. I also agree with putting heat on the multi use leave in. That’s usually what I do, when I use it. It works 10x better when heat is applied.

I agree I love that you mentioned stripped isn’t that bad as long as your hair is still intact it just means the hair is cleansed. Love your curls! Okay I thought it was just me I like the leave in but it doesn’t penetrate my hair immediately it definitely sits on my hair first and takes a minute to fully penetrate.

Thank you! For a while I thought it was a bad thing but we all need a good deep clean once in a while but have to just be careful and aware when using them. But yes every time I use this leave in it just sits on my hair if I don't use heat. I'm not sure if it's just a low porosity thing 🤷🏾‍♀️

Yea I definitely looked at the product title and I could tell the shampoo was a clarifier. I never used this product or the line before but my hair also felt stripped when I washed my hair with black soap in the past. But it's great that at least you know you can use it to remove build up! I enjoyed this review!

I've actually had the same experience with black soap in the past as well but i think because of all the yummy ingredients the experience was deeply cleansing but still hydrating which is nuts. I'm also team "know thyself" so if you know your hair will reject it save your coins hahaha if you do end up trying it I suggest prepooing with conditioner or an oil to lessen the stripped feeling

Great review! African Black soap is one of my favorite ways to clarify my hair. I don't know why it goes on so silky and fools you into thinking it will feel that way when you rinse your hair out! I am so happy to see that Melanin Haircare is in Ulta as well! I really wanted to try this line but the shipping prices were just too much for me when I knew I only wanted to try one or two products.

The ingredients in that leave in conditioner 😍😍😍. I need me some! I usually use a DC and then a leave in, but I think I’d be happy using this product after cleansing without rinsing it out 🤤

Love love love the ingredients!! I think I still like it as a rinse out though because it just makes my hair feel so fresh 🤗 I'll see when I take these twists pit today 👀😂 but I love a multi-use product. With these I would typically do this with cowashes or the conditioner leave in combos. I'll use it as a prepoo, put on my DC cap, and then rinse out and my wash day is done. If my hair isn't super dirty or if I'm doing a mid-week wash I'll do that

In general I shampoo once a week but I typically only clarify when my hair needs it. I haven't built it into my regimen because I didn't have one that I was excited to use but I may just do this once a month and when I need it
