We are using Uniview from 2016 and its never looking back. System Integrators like us need to strong support whenever it comes 100 plus cameras Uniview make sure they are there even when its remote areas. We use to do Vivotek & Hikvision earlier, but after Uniview there is no other brand.

is the p2p on unv nvr will still working after several year? I had enough for chinese dvr after 1 year the p2p goes disabled. i need the p2p for monitoring my home from my work place.

hey there! Since we do not carry that particular camera, i cannot give a solid answer. From what ive been able to tell though is that most UNV cameras do support smart events and can send notifications to your cellphone via the mobile app.

On active deterrence cameras can u set a time Period where it will sound an alarm and do push notifications ? Say an outside yard u want it to only alarm from 1:00am to 5:30am but not others since u normally have people working in that area during other times?

I see where you can set the people counter to clear. Does it store cleared counts? Do you have the ability to run a weekly report by day for retail clients?

My understanding is if you clear the count, it only clears the count on the interface. So, for instance, you can have it set to clear the number every day at midnight, so that the number on your monitor is only the count for that day. But the NVR will store the total number regardless of how often you clear it. So yes, you will be able to run weekly reports based on the total number of people entering and exiting, regardless of whether or not the number on the interface has been reset every day. I didn't see a way to reset the total number in the database, but I'm sure there's a way.

I have tried to set up my UNV, but when plugging the IP Camera cable direct into the unit POE ports the unit shuts down. And switches back on when camera cable is removed

The camera is installed to see the entrance from inside as the entrance recieves direct sunlight during day time.I have turned on the wdr on the camera but it isn't doing really well to maintain the dynamic range of the scene. Definitely subjective when looking at a video of a camera feed, but even now, from line 4-down is much more distinguishable in 4k than 4MP?

Very good question Cubs Fan! Chrome & Firefox support is still limited. Firstly i would verify that whatever Uniview unit you are logging into is up to date with its firmware. If that still doesnt help with browser support, then using IE or Edge in IE mode will be the best route to go. There is also Chrome with IE Tab extension.
