Why doesn't the extended forecast and time sync, although connected to WiFi?
@BMonsterLaboratory4 ай бұрын
I haven't been looking at the extended forecast recently, but I noticed mine wasn't connected either. I used the app and played with the control buttons on top of the weather station but couldn't get it to connect to the wifi. I used this opportunity to change the sensor battery and clean the outdoor case. When I put new batteries in, it took just a moment for the sensor to connect to the station. The forecast is now on the screen and synced with the day/time. I also now get accurate sensor weather on the phone app as well as graph history. You probably did, but did you try a whole system reboot - unplugging the weather station and taking the batteries out of the sensor and reconnecting everything. Is yours new? If not, try changing the batteries. Make sure the sensor and station are close together when you do this. This is just my initial response. I'm happy to help you troubleshoot any issues you continue to have.

@@BMonsterLaboratory Thank you very much for your quick response. Yes, my station is new. I did the factory reset many times, taking the batteries out, pressing a key 25 times, uninstalling and reinstalling the La Crosse View App etc. Connecting to WIFI is no issue, and the sensor connects to the station easily. The problem is syncing with the Weather services & Time. Coincidentally, last night it worked perfectly - but now, in the morning, it says "No Weather Service". Issue with connecting to the AccuWeather and Time servers? It just acts as a stand alone display.

Great review, I'd rather trade the forecast for day 2 and 3 for a static display of both indoor and outdoor. How long does it take to scroll between the two of them? My office gets super hot in the summer so I'm always looking at the indoor temp so I know when to go downstairs.

hey there- Thanks! the indoor / outdoor temp alternates every few seconds...maybe 4 seconds, maybe 5. You can also download the app and get the indoor and outdoor temps pretty fast. I used the app on vacation this year. I was wondering if it rained and how tall the grass would be when we got back. I looked at the app and saw the outdoor graph. The temp dipped low and the moisture went up. I like the app, no complaints there at all.

Do you know the difference between the v15 and the v16?
@BMonsterLaboratory5 ай бұрын
I haven't used the v16 but, it includes a bonus secondary display unit for additional convenience. This allows for greater flexibility in monitoring conditions from different locations within the home. Both connect to the app so you can monitor weather but the V16 provides a slightly more advanced integration, with additional features like viewing and tracking precipitation amounts and more detailed weather trends. The v16 enhances this with a 3-day forecast and hourly/daily updates when connected to the La Crosse View app. It also allows for a more comprehensive range of forecasts, including future 6-day and 12-hour forecasts. there may be some other differences as well.

Have you had wifi connection problems? I’m considering getting this unit but there are lots of reviews about wifi connection issues.

Hi there! The connection has never been an issue for me. I am currently on a trip 800miles from home and just checked my app for indoor and outdoor temp and everything is fine. The display unit at home went off a few times but that was during some pretty strong storms last year. Overall all, I'm happy with this one and the older model I reviewed. You will want to consider how much interference with the signal you may have to deal with . Consider distance from display to the outdoor sensor, how many walls the signal has to go through, wifi activity nearby - do you live in a dense community with lots of families using wifi or do you live in an area where you have lots of room between homes in the neighborhood... mine is mounted on a fence in the shade just below a window and we rarely have wifi issues. I hope that helps. 👍

This model seems to have a factory defect and is NOT correctible. I will not recommend to buy this.

Sorry to hear that. I was hoping your earlier problems were resolved. Did you reach out to La Crosse Technology? They may be able to help.
@knethsingha2 ай бұрын
@BMonsterLaboratory I did contact them. Couple of months ago, they said that their developers are working on it. But nothing heard as of today.
