I first found you on tik tok, every time I saw you pop up on my for you page, I would get excited because I would think to myself, “yay! The scholarship girl is dropping another gem”. I am now in my senior year and I have applied to over one hundred external scholarships. I know that I will be one of the 20,000 full ride students that you mentioned in your video. One problem with these scholarships is that they request for documents or criterias I don't have. Some documents that aren't available in my country .

I am a sophomore in high school and I’m in CRU club, FLA( I also get volunteer hours), Ive taken 3 college classes so far, I’ve taken and AP class, im currently taking an honors chemistry class, I’m in track and field, I’m also have a job working in the cafeteria, i have a 4.0gpa, I have yet to take the SAT but do you think I would have a good chance at getting a full ride scholarship? And should I start applying now?

My scholarships? Primarily the ones I won were based in Texas and some of them were nationally competitive.

Hey Carlynn, I'm wondering if you the opportunity and process are any different for international students? Here's my situation: I'm in Vietnam, graduated high school 5 years ago (very long gap years I know! :D), now I'm preparing my application for colleges in the US, of course aiming to get a full-ride if possible. My SAT is 1450+, but I've been out of school for so long so high school activities don't really apply to me anymore. I also see that not a lot of schools offer as many scholarships to international students as to US citizens. So is there a way to go about this? Say if I don't get a full ride but a portion of tuition fee, will it possible for me to enroll and apply for various scholarships like you did to match the rest? What percentage of those scholarships are available to international students? Btw, I'm interested in getting your book, but I need to consider the situation above so I know if the book can be applied for me. Please let me know. Thank you!

Hello! In your case you would be looking into international student scholarships as well as nontraditional scholarships (since you took some years off since high school). It is still very possible for you to get a scholarship as an international student! Yes, there are less opportunities out there, but it is still possible to win. Just as how there are less scholarships available for current college students as opposed to high school seniors, I was still able to win a lot as a current student. The book should be very helpful for you for the overall scholarship process. I made sure that it could cater to both US students and those from other countries!

The advice I have is universal to any student. Many of the students I have helped win have been international as well so yes!

there are scholarships out there for everyone. However, some study concentrations or countries do have more funding than others. even so, it is still possible!
