Full Rockford Fosgate Audio Install [2012 Chevy Silverado]

Great build! I did a similar build in my 2013 and my biggest challenge was the sound from the tweeters. I knew this going into the build so I chose I soft dome from JL and used the -4db attenuate setting on the xover to really bring out your midrange. You can go a step further and cut out the grill material on the front doors because it's choking the sound and have something custom made to really bring out that middle register of your music.

damn man thats a beautiful install. i just bought a 21 sierra elevation and just ordered a pre fab box from sub thump because i work overnights and just dont have the time to build my own. i been going crazy trying to figure out what subs amps and door speakers to go with and i think you just convinced me to go back to fosgate. was in the car audio game most of my younger years but been out about 15 years or so. its like a whole new learning curve with these new trucks. thank you for the video i subscribed and look forward to watching more.

You do quick nice work. Thumbs up man U reminded me I need to deadener on my roof. Oh and finish ported box for two DC audio level 4 12’s. Kicker ZX2500.1 already mounted on back wall behind seats. 4” rear seat lift. They said I just couldn’t be loud with the room I had in a 4dr truck exactly like the red one u worked on. Challenge accepted and it’s been a shitload of work a few grand later

Do you happen to remember the dimensions of the sub enclosures right off hand?

all had math back in the day , box volume was like 90% of recommended. actual dims are long gone

the only thing i should have done is take out the rear bench seat and turn it into 4 four seater and use that middle space to build a sub box with one 10 inch, in theory you would think 2 subs sound great but it can make it sound muffled too

I have a question, I installed a 10 inch amp/subwoofer in the middle of my 2010 floor bored I have a bucket seat so there isn’t anything there I ran the power wire from the battery through the fire wall and it comes out by the pedals and goes to the amp, I grounded it to a screw that held the gas pedal down but my amp power lights won’t come on. Could it be the ground if it is could you show or tell me where another good place is to put it that is hidden, please help!!

I hooked up my system which is 2500 watts and when I hooked up my power it popped that 175 fuse do I need a 200 or 250?

That’s a nice platform to work with, For audio and such. From a quick Google search it doesn’t appear Duralast make anything other than normal lead acid/liquid batteries. What I recommend for you to go to first is an AGM type Battery there easily twice as much is a normal truck battery
