Love the sarugami build - I mostly run solo these days and have had some decent runs with it on my assassin as it builds resolve quick and I use it in any down time as opposed to melee can’t get a NMS solo done either that or samurai (similar to yours). Shame as I love the technique I just struggle with the Oni archers

The built is nice, I just wish the charm didn't suck so much. On Nightmare/ platinum I could count on one hand how many times I actually had to perfect dodge. I guess for gold it could be fun to mess around with.

I always wondered if intimidating counter and leeching parry proc with sarugami wrath. I wanna try this with my own variation. I wanna try it with the charm that applies weakness, melee resolve gain, injured resolve gain, and a healing gourd with sudden resolve and increased healing. I think they'd be busted together, with resolve out the wazoo that ultimate proc every 2 min or so, plus healing with multiple ways, you'll hardly ever die especially with a ronin, plus the weakness would just make everything hit that much harder

Quick question why mele damage instead of the oni damage ? And is it okay to replace mele damage with oni ? Would it still have the same effect ?

You can replace Melee on the katana with Oni. It won't hurt you.

Liquid courage and resolve increase, using flash bombs on the forbidden medicine helps too

I've been using injured resolve gain on a defense charm and healing gourd and it's been working pretty nice. I have 49% melee, 10% oni, 20% ult, along with masamune's edge for double melee dmg proc. I prefer to go max melee (61%) but I've been able to ult more with less melee and two stacks of injured resolve gain on the gourd and defense charm

A good Sam build I use is | Saru Sword - MRG/PPW + IC/WOTF | Long Bow | Sared Iron - IRG/Fire + Blessed/Super Armor | Kunai - MD/GWD + SM/HB | Healing Gourd - DR/IRG + Strong Brew/Sudden resolve. If you want to run a 3 legendary build you can add Liquid of Bottle Courage or you can use a legendary Katana with a decent amount of Melee Resolve but honestly it's not that important. Techs: Raging Flame/2nd Legend/Healing Strike/H's Fury. You can play with the techniques as you wish, you'll find this build has pretty good synergy. You can use resolve increase but that then makes Sudden Resolve a little less useful but it's great if you're using bottle of liquid courage. I've also made an OD build that had 5 resolve slots and Bottle of Liquid Courage and Injured Resolve gain works far better than Melee Resolve does for building up the meter and could basically spam Ults if I wanted to. The key to this build is tanking damage and with 2 stacks of IRG and a stack of damage reduction it fills up fast when you're being pummeled. You dont need Super Armor but its the best perk for this kind of build because you're not getting knocked around and just absorbing hits, especially if you popped Raging flame. You can seriously Ult, pop way of the flame and you're resolve will get right back to ult since you're both dealing MRG damage and tanking IRG damage at the same time. I normally have arrow blocking but a full rapid fire volley of Oni arrows will fill your resolve meter pretty fast so it's fine to tank those hits for the gains. You can do this with any charm that has defensive properties so you can get IRG like Heavenly Strike or Restorative Rhythm but the at weakening effect of Sacred Iron weakens your enemies. You can go toe to toe with a mob of Oni and walk away full charged up. That 20% stack of fire damage is pretty nice too. I have a build with Fire Master which cooks opponents but I think Super Armor is the best perk for smash mouth play throughs.

It is, I don't know for certain, but it is. It has to be, this game crushed it and sold millions. No way Sony would let that go. I'll be covering it too once it finally drops, but unfortunately that'll be years from now.

Doesn't really seem like there's a lot of ACTUAL builds in this game? Most of what I've clicked is really just a Moon Master cancel build, with a bell or whistle attached that seems kinda pointless if you're just using moon master all the time

Blessed Strikes can be obtained on the charm once it has been bound to your Samurai.
