People call traveler a Coward, but did you not consider that the blast from the warsats at the Traveler when he is right above the city would destroy both? Traveler wasn't trying to flee, he stopped even before the warsats started charging up for the shot. The traveler was about to sacrifice himself so the city could live because as much as Traveler can cause miracles, the only thing it cannot affect is choice. In our case Ana's choice to kill or not kill Rasputin was the only thing that determined Traveler's fate.

THISSSSS dude! I was arguing with my friends about this and pointed out how, a long time ago, Clovis Bray's plan to destroy the traveler was not only dangerous but also reckless given it could've destroyed the city. Even Rasputin calculated the possibilities of the outcome with the warminds activating and saw there wasn't a guarantee that no one would get killed in the tower when fired at the traveler.

Even if it was trying to flee I also feel it is Rasputin's sacrifice that convinced the Traveler to stay. The whole phrase we sometimes forget. "Devotion inspires Bravery. Bravery inspires sacrifice. Sacrifice leads to death." Our mantra for being a Guardian. Rasputin was a true Guardian. Just like us and the Traveler was reminded of it thanks to his actions.

I dont mean to be that guy, but in the lore entry for the Mk. 44 Stand-Asides it says "The Gardener is hard to bother; she is constantly amidst her weeds, kneeling in the tangent dust, gloves covered in a mix of distant soils and metallic saps." So I think the traveler may be a she. Plus, seemingly wanting to protect us makes it seem kind of maternal, especially since its been hovering over us pretty much this entire time.

I think the traveler wasn't fleeing. As someone else said: stopped well before the warsats were destroyed. I think the traveler has been "fleeing" the witness, and has seemed like the coward, to lure the witness into a trap. A trap that was in the sol system, adding to the allies it has until a final conflict. I think Rasputin's sacrifice, being a supposed replacement for the traveler, is indicative of what will happen, and with the traveler and witness dead, it will leave us with the light and dark.

10:34 (listen closely) when the stranger said " Ana look", i believe that rasputin will be revived as a guardian again, remember that Rasputin was a an old guardian back in the day. So lets said that for know the warmind is hidding, so looks like will see the warmind again as a guardian, but yeah best cutscene i ever saw in destiny.

Something tells me the Nefele stronghold is on Venus. On the Vidoc they showed a cutscene where you could see a door similar to Venus’s architecture, and on the wall it says “Ishtar Collective”… Could it be that we are going back to Venus? 🤔
