Because of my financial profile, including credit score, assets, and lifestyle, I'm convinced I've recently been quoted higher prices for commercial flights, hotel rooms, and theatre tickets. I'm generally not paranoid but suspect that instant profiling -- way beyond a standard credit check -- is enabling this and I don't like it. If Amazon is doing it to me they've been incremental and limited so far but in any event instant dynamic pricing is a form of discrimination that feels exploitative and unfair.

I save on chicken by buying the Costco Rotisserie, cut it up, put it in container, which goes in my cooler. Beats paying 10x for Chick-fil-A, Cain's, KFC, or Popeye's. Probably healthier as well.

Anything beyond fruits, veggies, seeds, and nuts is a health risk either acute or incremental so why pay a premium to push your luck? Meat and fish are a lot more expensive than beans, and oatmeal which will provide even more protein by weight than animal products, can be had for cheap and stored without refrigeration next to baking potatoes 🥔 which are also cheap and are the most nutrient dense food there is. Vitamin B12? Are you really falling for that social media marketing ploy? If so, nutrional yeast is chock full of B12, and has a wonderful cheesy flavor on top of steamed veggies which also cost next to nothing. Fruit and water are cheap abundant and filling too. Watching your wallet is a gateway to watching your health and maybe the only aspect of life that's not a ripoff today. MOST executives in processed food never eat it. Fast food is not always fast, but it is ALWAYS poison. You're paying a premium now, to lose a fortune later as MOST people in the US die peniliess owing to medical costs. So chew on that fat.

I told my kids I would give them each $10,000 towards a wedding. One took the money and used it for a car. The other one wanted her queen for a day party. A month after the wedding she called and wanted to borrow money for a down payment for a house. I had a long laugh and hung up. She could have used the money for the house but no, she wanted attention instead of security. At least one of my kids did the smart thing. She eloped and used the money for a car. A new marriage with no car payment is a wonderful thing.

You experienced both sides of the coin! That's exactly what Clark did. He set a certain amount of money for his daughter's wedding and told her she can use all or none of it for wedding expenses. She spent a small amount on the wedding and used the majority of it for a downpayment on a house.💚

All dental work is a fraction of the cost in Mexico, even taking insurance into consideration, with similar if not the same quality. In some cases, you can fly down close to the border, cross, have your work done and fly home for cheaper than what it would case to have the work done in the US. My family does check-ups and cleanings in the US through a plan covered by my work but we are lucky to live near the border and can drive down for any work that needs to be done. Braces for my son cost $1800 2 years ago.

3 years ago my daughter had a wedding. They rented a shelter at a local park for $800. They rented chairs for $600. They had a local restaraunt make the food for $1500. My daughter's friends served the food for a cost of about $350. The music was played on a portable sound system that the grooms friend had. All in, including the preacher's fee and the wedding gown, only cost about $6000.

That Macbook thing is nonsense. If it had been real, Consumer Reports, etc, would have been all over it! I am surprised Clark would bring up non fact checked junk! Except, his weird bias against Apple users. BTW: poor people use Apple stuff to. It lasts longer and refurb or older models can be had cheaper. Many college majors and big industries also use Apple computers like design, advertising, photography, journalism, biology, genetics, etc. All the common and professionally designed fonts are designed and made on Macs, even fonts on windows and Android.

We got married 45 years ago and I was the first of 2 girls to marry and as a family of 7 we didn’t have lots of money for an extravagant wedding.A local seamstress knew of a girl that had a wedding dress my size and she was willing to rent it out to me for $35, a dear friend made wedding cakes .We had a 5 tier gorgeous cake and paid $83. We did not have a sit down meal , we rented a college ballroom and our friends from our congregation and surrounding congregations provided cakes and cookies. Our wedding song was sung by a dear friend, it is “ Reunited” by Peaches & Herb because I met my husband while my girlfriend and I were on vacation

He lived in Florida and I lived in Oklahoma while we dated for 10 months so a friend made 2 cakes , one was in the form of a dial phone and then shaped a cord between the phone and another cake in the shape of the handset itself. Since we were going to be living in Florida our friends here locally got less breakable wedding gifts , then when our Florida friends threw us a wedding reception they got us the more fragile gifts. We still use some of the gifts. My only regret is I went w an artificial wedding bouquet and if I had it to do over I would have had fresh flowers. 7:57

23:47 when we got married, we had a budget. We did not deviate from the budget, but I will say that family members will want certain things whether it’s her parents or your parents my recommendation just as we did if they truly want that for your wedding because they wanna show off things have them pay for it at the time put some stress on family members but at the end of the day, we did not take a loan. We did not do any of those things at the end of the day, it’s your wedding your budget if they want to add to that budget that is on those family members don’t feel guilty. This is a life that you’re starting with your new wife not a life that you’re going to live with other family members.

My daughter has recently got engaged . Her thought was having a camping wedding . Well that wasn't well received in the family. I personally like it but in the world of glitz and glamor it's probably low on the list to participate in . I made the offer to my daughter to help pay for her honeymoon over the traditional pay for the wedding thing . Wedding are for everybody else while honeymoons are for the couple. Yes it's fun to have a big party and that's what a wedding reception is .
