Based on what I’ve seen, a lot of these things can be also be achieved with basic smart home accessories and automations, but you have the sleek design. A downside to consider is maintenance and upgrades. While this house is impressive now, technology is always changing. @@rayvulders its actually pretty easy. I connect a modified femtocell on the outside of the house and from a close location I put up a high power antenna or a made in home type antenna from a lays can , from there I brute force my way into the house and own the damn network. Not to mention the different ways I can get in through their email by phishing them into clicking a link and owning their computer which would lead me to the network or social engineer a call from their internet provider and let them give me their information on their own like the wifi password, although this takes a lot more skills. I am ethical hacker however and would not risk my career and lifestyle for some random people i dont know or care for. (Google Home, Chromecast & Switch enabled lighting) but living in that house will never truly feel like a home... even when he was sitting in the kitchen, it wasn’t home. He literally asked his sink to poor him a cup of water, because it was to hard to do it yourself. But yes, extremely unnecessary & a complete and total waste of money...

Tristan Albertson Agreed. If it wasn’t connected to his phone and it was a closed-loop system, I wouldn’t be too worried, but since its obviously all cloud there is a major concern. @@kone8258 The firewall for the server should be configured to only allow a static IP from the cloud company to talk to it (along with a complex root password). A better attack vector would be a router with internet access. I'm sure the password for the router would be impossible to brute force so you would have to first target something simple like a light bulb. Some smart devices store the router's password in plaintext. One issue with this method is that you would have to be in close vicinity to the house and I'm sure you'd be tackled to the ground before you even step foot anywhere near the front door. Another method may be malware, sending an executable to either a phone or a computer in the hopes of Lincon wanting free VBucks and opening an email attachement. This will give us access to the computer and from there, we can connect to the server and do whatever it is that we'd want to do. One of the pros of this method is that you can do it remotely, provided that you know the email address of somebody that uses a computer in the house. Keep in mind, this is all hypothetical and I have no clue what type of access points, smart devices, etc. are in the house.
