Man, this sux. As a Democrat I've always supported certain ideas, and as a business owner I've always known what would help me and my local economy. That stuff he said about making trade agreements work better for us, American jobs more important, and American made products paramount.....I mean, that shit makes a lot of sense.

I'm Canadian. I know I have no place having an opinion in America's politics because I cannot vote. I just find this all so fascinating. I can't speak for all Canadians, but over the past year this topic has come up in conversation. Every single person I spoke to in various social circles from many different backgrounds ( around 30-45 different individuals), are all perplexed at the fact that Trump is being taken serious as a LEADER of the most influential Country of the planet. I know a lot of people are thinking about this election as choosing the "lesser of two evils". I dont know everything about Hillary's politics either. But can someone explain honestly why so many "Democrats' are unwilling to vote for Hillary and possibly letting Trump win by default? Am I wrong or is it pretty much Trump against Hillary at this point? And if it is, then, why do people think he would be a better option for America, and the Word? This are all serious and genuine questions from a person who doesnt know the minute details of American politics, but is still interested in the process and overall outcome.

Also, he keeps saying "Believe me, Believe me. It will happen, and it will happen fast." He says this in referral to promises he is making, IE reducing taxes to bring more jobs to Americans. But He never says HOW he will make this happen. I know politicians make promises all the time, and a lot of the time they dont go into great detail. But he NEVER once states in this speech or even TRIES to explain how he will actually go about making any of his promises come to fruition. Why are his supporters here so eager to cheer for promises without qualification? In Hillary's speech she outlined steps she would try to take to make her promises a reality. They could all be lies, but at least she tried to make them sound more probable.

Brit here and I agree, I really don't understand what's going on. I think Americans have gotten fed up with establishment politics and Hillary took the brunt. You had Bernie and Trump, both fairly radical and people flocked to them. Hillary was the only serious candidate who was your standard politician. Had it been any other year, she wouldn't had such a hard time. It's really scary what is going on. Donald Trump becoming president isn't just a US issue, it's something that could have consequences for us all, whatever country. I hope sanity prevails.

Regarding your point about us letting refugee Syrians into Canada. Yes, we did, with open arms. We showed them love and kindness during the worst experience of many innocent lives. In return, do you know what those refugees did? When wild fires ravaged Fort McMurray Alberta and displaced thousands of Canadians, those same refugee Syrians took what little money they had, and donated it to the Canadian Red Cross to help those who had help them start a new life in Canada. The horror.
