Lost a best friend in 2014 from a shroom trip. He had lost him mom from cancer back in 2004 and I guess it all came back to him when he took shrooms because he was not only a first time user, but he had a really bad trip. His father ended up calling the police on him for believing his son was suicidal, my friend was talking about wanting to go see his mom in heaven and etc... Before police showed up, my friend had walked into his room and grabbed his shotgun and ended it all. He got caught up in the wrong crowd. I wasn't there but wish I was, as he probably would've listened to me. Because of him, I never overstepped my boundaries and have never tried shrooms or anything hallucinogenic. Sometimes the mind gets carried too far away to remain a hold of.

I am really sorry man, my condolences. I can't believe how today's society glorifies drugs and makes it out to be a joke. It's all good. I know people that literally lost it and had years of mental health issues after getting high on weed (e.g. depersonalization/derealization). As you get older, your subconscious fills up with more stuff - your problems, fears, frustrations, doubts. When you take any kind of drugs after 30 (not that it can't happen before 30), it's literally a lottery every time - you can absolutely lose your mind and do something as horrible as what your friend unfortunately did. The human brain is still a complete enigma and here we are fucking with it, and on top of that, the fucking with is being openly promoted in the mainstream. I just don't get how people don't understand this.
