When you grow up around whatever tf Todd was, you grow up thinking that’s normal behavior. To them, they were right since that’s how it’s always been. Kids don’t know any better unless they find better people to learn from. Also, even IF they knew (like the sister seemed to know they were wrong), they’d have to actively go against the authority figure. The big, strong man who has been the only reason they stayed alive for so long. They’d have to tell their dad that they won’t commit crimes so that daddy can get his money. Do you imagine that ever going well? Do you imagine Todd not getting extremely mad and possibly abusing them? Or restricting their food “till they learn how hard it is to earn money for their food”.

If this happened in the USA you are incorrect. The arrest was for vandalism and trespassing. Neither one is justifiable cause for a search warrant to look for stolen property. That being said, with no one living in the house who would be there if OP decided on a DYI search?

I think Sara actual was against Todd's action's while yes she did run in and grab the ring it seemed as though her interest in the whole thing plummeted when Todd's started his shananagains. I think that something in the food may have been spiked or drugged and Sara was giving her a chance by switching out the plates explaining why Sara just stared at the plate
