🇸🇪🎉!! Just lovely seeing all these swedes 😂 Remember the first cup? We didn't have very high overalls but we did have loads of players with high poise. Forsberg has 91 and will be a very important piece in the playoffs. I would definitely put him in 2nd line. Could also be used in 1st instead of Lekkärimäki, if he fails to impress. Almost all swedes in top 6 then, since Raty is born close to the swedish border 😅

In data we trust - good move to pick up forsberg for cheap, and he likely preformed better than the other deadline options we considered. He’s earned tippetts spot for the postseason for sure. We also know that podkolzin is king - do we move him up to 3rd line presumptively? Not sure. Hanifin probably slots in too for the veteran presence, but other than that only minor tweaks are nessecary, this team is a WAGON! Excited for another postseason, hopefully avenging the Canucks of the real world. Thanks again data and see you at Rogers arena for another great playoffs!

Thanks Gaben! I was blown away by the ROI on Forsberg! Forsberg on L2 and Tippett on L3 makes sense, but bringing Podkolzin up to L3 would probably mean Montoya bumping down. That's not necessarily a bad thing though, as we know how rookies can struggle in the postseason sim and Podkolzin is a proven commodity. We'll see. Same for Hanifin slotting in as a veteran. Bouillon did alright in the end but Hanifin has much more experience. Aside from that, hop on the wagon baby!! Going for back-to-back Cups and avenging the 2024 Canucks will be the goal 😤 Much love Gaben and see you in round 1!

SPOILERS AS USUAL Well the second half pace was not as good as the first half but I'd like to think things turned around after acquiring Forsberg. That first games was the 3-2 OTW in Colorado. We battled back from down 2-1 and I think Forsberg didn't sit quietly in his first game. He was stepping on the captains toes (sort of) by yelling from the bench, and when that player returned to the bench he gave constructive criticism to Aatu Raty who then went out there and tied the game with just one second left. And then Markstrom netting the game-winner was the icing on the cake before the team all went out for a welcome dinner in honour of Forsberg, as they had little time to connect prior to the Avs game. We finish the season 11-7 with Forsberg as a Canuck. That's not a knock on him, as most of those wins were small 2-3 game streaks. Points aside, Lundqvist and Hughes finish +47 and Dobson is a +52. Oh-My-Lundqvist. Take a bow you stud. He put up THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FOUR SHOTS IN ONE SEASON. I'd have to scrub back through to see if we've seen any higher this series but none that high that I can recall. In 1992-93 Pavel Bure tallied 407 shots and still holds that as a Canucks franchise record while sitting 13th all-time. Bure would then hit 374 shots the following season which sits 43rd all-time. This puts Lundqvist in 3rd in most shots in a single season by a Canuck. And you know who else had exactly 354 shots in one season? Mr. Gordie Howe in 1959-60 at the age of 31 and Mr. Wayne Gretzky in 1984-85 at 23 putting him 67th all time in most shots in one season. Yes, the 84-85 season where the Oilers went...back-to-back. Foreshadowing? And now as you're reading this, let's make St. Louis cry the Blues on our first stop to the final. Alllllllll AbooOooard!!!!!!! Go Canucks Go!

Glad to hear that Forsberg has been doing more than just scoring at almost point-per-game pace, love that story from his debut 😤 Sheesh Lundqvist!! We love to see that!! A great stat to keep in mind moving further into his career! 😍 And how about that potential foreshadowing 👀 In all of that, Dobson's plus/minus was also an outstanding feat that cannot be overlooked.
