you seem like a strict coach, I bet your students have a great future. You should start some sort of online tutorial training for international students.

Great instructive video again on the technical part. But I was wondering how does this align with other great coaches talk about using an (ultra) short swing with lots of finger power or the one-inch punch / the pullback movement / the whip effect. Is that just a next stage in player level when wanting to include deception/taking time from your opponent to react?

A short swing is a shortened version of a long swing. And every growth has its own stages. Anyone who ignores the growth process will end up with a ridiculous form.

One thing I learn here : If the shuttlecock is on your head try bending your knee for more power until you can hit it, even if it's the lowest(as long as it's not lower than the net).
