I remember remixing AIA’s game and making worse and better at the same time, worse in that I gave the birds ai, and that they get depressed when you kill other birds near them. And better because well the ui the ability for the game to end, and the new movement of the birds. And it still hasn’t gotten banned.

im trying to switch from scratch to unity, cuz as much as i love scratch it is incredibly unoptimized and has pointless limits, and i hate having to make camera and physics manually

@@AIAdev Have you ever tried using a scratch mod called TurboWarp? It's like scratch, but better with the limits removed and dozens of extensions bringing new custom blocks. Also, it has better performance and a feature to turn your project into an exe file. And it doesn't have goofy bans for kool-aid like Scratch.

in scratch, there is a clone limit of 300. if for that candy game you use clones, you should delete them using the "delete clone" block. after like, 0.5 seconds you should delete them

Yep. It's not easy for people to just switch after they've spent years and years learning the engine and developing games for it. Unity reversed their original plan and the CEO stepped down. Moving forward they'll be under a microscope much more than ever

Oh boy. You think Scratch is a website for kids. Oh boy. You have no idea for what complex stuff can be possible within this game. But due to its limitations, you must be quite well refined when making such optimizations to make it run without TurboWarp.

I don’t think scratch is a website just for kids… I started the video with “it’s designed for anyone new to programming”. BUT that being said... scratches own website says, "Scratch is the world’s largest coding community for children" Sure you can do complex things with scratch but I’d argue that’s not really what it’s core purpose is. In the same way you can make a computer in Minecraft with red stone. IMO It shows how powerful basic programming can be moreso than how robust of an engine scratch is.
