GPA when they first started up at Nome they had a group of people that worked all night on the beach they had dug a hole down 3' feet deep and it was solid red with Garnets by morning they had found 18 ounces of gold. Not a bad haul for 1 night.

Ive been laid off since march and im so looking forward to looking for ginseng 7 days a week this season instead of 2. Last year ginseng hit 900 per dry pound. And 300 green pound.

@@RedfishInc current price of gold per ounce is $1814.00 but when you go to sell it you better minus 20% =$1451.20 per ounce that you will actually get paid. 1 ounce per day x 6 days per week with 1 day off per week = 6 ounces per week x 4 weeks =24 ounce per month x $1451.20x6=$8707.20x4= $34,828.80 per month. Hmmm did not know that walmart employees made that much per month. 😂

I lived there in the 60s . We had a guy come all the way from Wisconsin, he worked for the hiway Dept there, anyway, he would take 3 months off and come to Nome and pan the beaches, he said he averages 13k in gold every year, at 35 an ounce..nice guy..
