My wife and I call ourself “part time full timers “ as we spend about six months a year on the road and six months at home. This is about the right balance for us, because as much as we love to go, we do get travel weary at some point. I think most of your observations are pretty much spot on. For us, having that six months a year reset button makes everything more doable. We will be leaving home this week for the North West for three months to escape the Vegas heat.

Hi David! Six months on the road is better than not going at all 😀. Have fun, be safe, and most importantly…Enjoy your journey!

We've been full-timers since 2019 when, like you, we sold all of our stuff and hit the road! No storage space, no "keeping stuff at someone's house". All we own is in our travel trailer and the back of the truck.

That’s awesome! What is your favorite place/state you’ve been to? I love hearing stories about life on the road, etc. Thank you so much for sharing! Take care and safe travels!

@@liferedesigned I guess our favorite state is the one we've now made our state of residence, Arizona. And, specifically, Tucson. Our LEAST favorite to date is probably Tulsa, OK. What's your fave?

We went full-time RVing in April this year. However, since 2018 we did 4 to 5 months RV tours over the winter and realized these trips were still too short.

My wife and I went full time in 2020 (July) it lasted 6 months, then family medical issue happened. We now do a month here and a month there, we would love to go back full time but it won’t be anytime soon.

Sorry to hear about the medical issue. The main thing is you are still getting out there - even if it is just a weekend or a month , enjoy life whenever possible!

I started in 2016 and campgrounds are a no-go for me, although I do go to National and some City Parks boondocking is #1 for me. They way I do it eliminates (for the most park) most weird, annoying things and sleepless nights because of neighbors and other inevitable things that happen when you have a lot of people around you.

Good Video! I never ever want to go full time . I have a tiny house as a home base ! I go out camping for weeks or months. Then back to the home base in Fl we’re it’s warm in the winter ! Bottom line is full time RVing is NOT cheap. My opinion! You do You ! 🤷🏼♂️😁👍

I don’t know how I would like driving and pulling my home. It can be tiring to do long drives, I think I would need a small home base some place.
@liferedesigned Жыл бұрын
Hi Vivian! It can be tiring, BUT planning ahead IE: gas stations, rest stops to get out and stretch, places of interest along the way make long trips so much easier and less stressful! Also good music and conversation 😀. Hope you have a great day!

Great video...as usual lol.. Me?I recently sold my house and now live in my luxury TT on three acres near Gainesville Florida with a 450sf area sodded and fenced in for my doodle to run around, where feral cats and coyotes cant get in, dependable cheap coop power, Starlink, and countless springs and rivers all around me...its all relative, if you choose to hop from park to park you are in constant road mode and thats enough to make it miserable not to mention the elements you mentioned in this video
@liferedesigned Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words 😀 believe it or not, we live being in “road mode” the hardest part for us is overstaying some where due to Bob’s work schedule.
@artlife6210 Жыл бұрын
@@liferedesigned well of all of the full timers Ive seen you make it look easier than most, I did fulltime for a year with my Monaco 33 but that wasnt as labor intensive because I could just park and hit a few buttons and I was set, the TT is a bit more of a workout when you arrive so it keeps us on our toes lol cheers!

@lakestreeservice Жыл бұрын
With all due respect I would consider you a vacationer not a full timer - big differnce.
@liferedesigned Жыл бұрын
@@lakestreeservice please elaborate. Vacationing would imply we have a home to return to. We sold everything and live full time and travel in our RV. No “homebase” no “base camp” just us and the RV - kind of the definition of full timers lol. Maybe you have us confused with some of the big channels that pretend to be full time and then return home every few months
@lakestreeservice Жыл бұрын
It's the way you phrased it "won't do full-time" imply you have another adobe.
@liferedesigned Жыл бұрын
@@lakestreeservice I believe we cover that we sold everything in the opening segment - starts at 0:53 and we also cover how much we enjoy the full time lifestyle at around the 11:08 mark. No worries though, sometimes a video can not make sense if the whole thing isn't watched.
